Yea but it's taking out of shared system memory. You are giving yourself more with the cost of slowing process power. This only applies to onboard graphic cards btw. Just note if you game with on-board graphics, it's fine but your multitasking drops in power and will crash your system if you try playing a game, watch a movie, or whatever else at the same time.

If you are going for maximum infantry performance, it's also advisable to CTRL-ALT-DELETE and kill explorer.exe from the task manager. That is the name of the windows UI process. Not sure if it works in later versions of windows, I specifically run Windows 7 for the purpose of infantry performance. If you need to run anything other than infantry, you can CTRL-ALT-DELETE and then from the task manager click new process, and type explorer.exe to re-launch it.
