Why shouldn't a 2-0 win count for more than a 2-1 win? It's basically aggregate scoring to an extent. This should be an easy concept to understand. Instead of "goals for" and "goals against", you have "wins for" and "wins against". How would you decide a tie breaker without playing extra matches?

Thats why its, whomever reaches first 2 wins goes to champs. So if 1 squad gets to 2 wins first they would still play the other 2 squads, but they have a guarantee in champs.
