Draft leagues / tournaments didn't go well the two times I've seen them tried. ~50% of the players who signed up didn't show up either time. Admittedly the second one was destined for failure being scheduled alongside GOT. Wasn't there talk of trying a Soccer Brawl league / tournament?

SBl is a pipe dream, it'd be amazing but too many scrubs in here to play an actual game This past SL season wasn't too bad, issue was the caps like people on daddy's team boycotting showing, you know how we warned that people would do if he was cap?

Also back in the old soe days I actually hosted 2v2 or 3v3 tournaments. might bring that back as an interim because honestly, after you play that first game of sl(for nostalgia) its boring. SL needs to be revamped a bit to make it interesting anymore(sadly). Edit: Possible changes to sl would include: Removing the 3deaths(or increasing to 5) this would increase the pace of the game and make people actually push more for the flags(these would stay but I would decrease the amount of flags from 5 to 3) This would be the opportunistic way to try and see if people would like that "flag implementation Apollo always argued for for usl" By changing SL into TDM or flag it might make it more interesting, or not who knows. 20 min matches still to also increase the play without the best of 3, instead(each squad would just play eachother 3x in the season(and playoffs would then return to the bo3 champ bo5 for that nostalgia) spitballin random ideas

SL is a lost cause unless you dedicate more resources to it like USL has. And that won't happen.

Chris is right, we’d need to structure a season with actual squads independent from USL, and actual people to run the league. We hardly have that with USL.

The last two SL mini leagues were a joke. I rather just sb in USL with real squads rather than playing with a bunch of random scrubs with no intention of winning. We all know the majority of current player base is not a fan of SL, stop bringing it back as a “tournament” without thoughtful structure and reorganization. Couple things I noticed from last “SL Tournament” - Undrafted NT playing instead of forcing team to play down a man (draft team in 2019 lol) - Nice OT rules - Nice captains - Just for fun mentality/format, no structure, no consistency - Caused huge decline in USL activity and prevented squads from forming, long ass USL offseason Ya let it die
