If you want to make a difference, you have to take initiative. There are always people willing to help you with a challenge especially when you're exerting effort to improve the community in anyway you can. As much as anyone says "this community is toxic", I've met some of the coolest people when it comes to staff. Most of you take for granted the fact that this game was officially closed in 2012, and it wouldn't even exist if it weren't for the likes of Jovan, aaerox, HellSpawn, Mizzouse, kon, BurntDevil, Champion, X15, hehespawn3000, etc (I'm forgetting a lot of names I'm sure) volunteering HUNDREDS of hours at no benefit to them other than intellectual pursuit or the willingness to help continue this awesome game.
If you're here to just play a video game, I respect that too and no one should expect you to do any more than that at the end of the day. Even for our players that consistently complain and are never pleased, if they're still playing regularly then something must have been done right. People have to remember this is also the internet, where people have a tendency to unleash their rage with no consequences. This game has gone 7 years past it's shelf life, so I don't consider that a loss.
I've been a part of this server since the beginning, with a few periods of inactivity. I left the discord because I got tired of people bitching at me to fix CTF when my powers and access were downgraded or removed entirely in certain areas, which I had asked previously to be restored and was denied. I've never abused my powers and (arguably) never given reasonable suspicion that I ever would. The only time I can recall banning someone in game was when Octavian was abusing a known bug for recent changes I had made, and I explicitly told him not to as I needed to restart the game (that was already populated) before it could be fixed.
