Saw a few SBs so I decided to write a couple of ideas/questions.
I’m trying to learn how to lead if someone can help me out. Thanks.
I decided to watch the first game no voice as I wanted to sort of thinkk through the match myself and how I would approach situations, where enemy might be, etc. I think that was unfortunately the only one Sov led that night so I missed out on that.
Feels like the base meta with 'normal' supports is a 4-3-1 split with a main/flank/vision. The vision guy to me actually seems to be able to often play a more interesting role than I thought in terms of slowing down enemy rotations and making people swap focus. The main and flank basically try to setup a pincer or hold choke positions so the vision guy can force some attention to split which usually opens up a push. Sometimes the main/flank just successfully pincer a side on their own and then the other half of the opponent can be cleaned up.
- I'm not sure how this plays out in 7s or 8s. Do you drop a main and go 3-3 or drop a flanker? If you drop a flanker in 7s so its 4-2-1 do you bother keeping a medic with one marine? I would think removing a solo marine doing vision stuff would not be the play but maybe you can do other setups, like a 5-2 where the two double-duty flank & vision and then people can perhaps rotate out of the main group when a proper flank push is needed.
- Seems favorable to fall back off med deaths (at a high level I wonder if med energy comes into play with this as well), but i'm not sure how dynamic this is. It seems like most maps have places that people are very comfortable falling back to depending on side but I'm not sure if that's just a consequence of where teams usually meet up on particular maps (meaning any obstacle / temp choke would work) or that there are more "known spots" that players know how to hold (so you want to fight somewhere close to somewhere specific you can fall back to)
Took some notes during some SBs last night… Archive

what would help if u went to israel and experienced real combat first hand. then you could bring that information back to usl and use real world applied knowledge into a virtual space. also everyone would respect you bc you are in the armed forces and fighting for zion. in fact im already starting to respect you just bc im imagining you fighting in the gaza strip.
Vision guy is more important this season too because of the AT dash. You can go into areas you normally can't to check for ppl/get vision.
Also how is the healing range for medics coded? cause I swear some nights it feels like u can heal people halfway across your screen, and other nights it feels like you have to be right on their ass.
Is that the server causing those issues?

Our community director trolling his own squaddie by c&ping his discord comment here. Interesting:thinking emoji:
Remove his position
all he's done is spam racism and homophobia on the official USL discord
Now he's ostracized two squaddies in the matter of 3 days (erkdog and now dorius)
Unbecoming of the role

You speak without knowledge of the situation.
One guy, talked shit behind my squaddies backs and I won’t let anyone talk shit behind my people.
The other guy used spec info during a match after me telling me 2 times to stfu. My whole squad can testify to this.
Racism? Lmao.
Are you really that mad I beat you 5-1 in duels? Jesus. Learn to take your beating.
I talked mad shit to Eric and he beat me in duels. Do you see me crying? Or holding it over Eric’s head? I take my beating like a man. You should too.
