The Advisor position has been abolished as it seemed to have low utility and perhaps gave an inaccurate perception that the league admins consult a small group of handpicked insiders when making decisions. Rather, what we want is to ensure that league admins primarily use data and the community, represented by their squad captains, to drive decisions, and to communicate that clearly to the players. Most of the former Advisors have been reassigned to other roles on staff. Head Referee obviously oversees the referee team and Coordinator acts as a generalist leadership role. We are also endeavoring to move away from partitions within staff and to ensure that most staff discussions are inclusive of referees who provide a core and valuable service to the league.
In the interest of transparency, what does the Coordinator coordinate?
Assist in budget preparation Co-ordinate and monitor conference and meeting activities and attend to related details Co-ordinate set-ups, staging, seating, parking, communication systems and other details for special events Set up and monitor, or arrange for the setting up and monitoring of multi-media equipment Plan and arrange for trade shows and exhibits Plan schedules, goals and objectives Plan for required documentation and for pre- and post-distribution of documentation (itineraries, evaluations etc.) Plan for translation and interpretation services Manage Event Logistics Identify human resources requirements
Sounds like high utility!
U think the coordinator advises the admin on rule changes
I doubt it considering MP posted that they abolished Advisors and are looking to squad captains to help admins drive decisions. We gettin some new weekly events?
