How come the play seconds for the stats are always around 1776 instead of 1800? Not that it affected the outcome, but there was some comments that we were specced too early in the worms vs friends game (our play seconds there are 1734). Are the refs instructed to spec all right when the timer hits 0? Or is there some other definitive message that shows up when the game ends that they wait for? I would hate for this to affect a match outcome in the future.
1776 is what mizz's stat file records. idk ask him. the site is correct though when it comes to calculating games because I divide by 1776. it's been this way since season 1.
The way the arena script is started is the reason why all zones has that missing 24 seconds. On sony they didnt use custom scripts like we do here, unfortunately it takes 24 seconds to get everything set correctly then the data sent to the client. Ive tried correcting this coding wise with no luck, its always 24 seconds off but what I could do is add 24 seconds to the time clock, it would just look weird having it say "30:24".
Does the time on the client ever sync back up with the server? I remember seeing some discrepancies (probably on SOE), between the time left displayed on the PC and the time the game ended.
Client will always be behind due to how long it takes for the information to reach the client and the time it takes to process it. In the server and in the client, we do the math to account for all of that and try to correct it.
