It's a quote by Octavio Paz and he's a poet and shit. So... he basically believes that Reason is fine and good but to build a world using strictly dialectical reason was a mistake. He believes in a balance between the heart and reason. So maybe a world built more on compassion than reason? Something along those lines, anyway.
