I will leave it in the capable hands of Fausto and team to sort out, but what do you think happens if the total player base is worth 4,000 points... Salary cap is set to 1,000 for 4 squads... And one squad fills out their team with 700 worth of players? A salary cap option is more difficult than a draft option. There's more room for error. That creates the advantage of being able to play with people you like more, but that's the only real advantage over the draft option (although I understand it's an important one). Edit: not suggesting a floor, but the captains need to work with the system to make this work. That might even mean recruiting people you wouldn't normally play with to stay within a reasonable range that doesn't ruin the salary cap concept!

if there's only 4-6 squads there will be no bad squads with a reasonable salary cap - that's the whole point of the salary cap... all the good players can't congregate

lol, I think we all get that. My question was in regards to the POSSIBLE need for a salary floor. You are right - with a cap, the good players can't congregate. But there is an unintended consequence of you have a salary cap, no salary floor... and the lower cost players want to congregate... See what I mean?

But what would the incentive be for the low cost players be in congregating? When if the salary cap is at a reasonable number they'd have a good shot of getting some pt with some better players?

Not everyone is trying to win at cost of having fun or excluding some players of their usual group. Take I&C for example. Definitely better than Foot Clan, but not on the same level that BB/Rejects were. I&C didn't have any players that are likely to cost max amount, and may come in quite a bit under salary cap. Of course, Rejects/BB may not be able to exist under the salary cap and the general talent level might dilute. If that's true, I&C might be more indicative of the level squads might be at. I&C did do pretty well at times.

That's the hope I'd assume - BB/Rejects would NOT exist as they were last season. Can only have so many max players per squad with a reasonable cap, so then you have pretty decent guys who are maybe in the B/B+ range playing for squads like I&C and rejects/bb forced to start guys who were in the b-/c range.

That's the goal. I think Armor's concern is a squad like Foot Clan/Hypocrites/etc. choosing to play together and thus throwing a wrench into the salary cap. That's when you would need a floor. Fausto will be clarifying a lot of this information soon though.

I think my method of a salary cap and the 25,50,75,100 is the easy method with a 10 or 12 minimum amount of people. The salary cap will be somewhere around 550. Captains need to be at least 75 to be a captain. Better if they was all 100 this would keep anyone from not wanting to play with someone cause they suck etc. If it was 600 you could get 2- 100 2- 75 4- 50 2 -25 Each captain can choose there team confirm and once meet the 10 man limit they can create there squad.

that roster limit allows for low value players to almost never get a chance to play. maybe for 15 mins all season. think about this before you start re inventing the wheel.
