Sonichu (5-0) vs The Leftovers (3-2) play by play First encounter: (West of South Rocks in EC) Sonichu headed south and push their way through South Rocks without resistance The Leftovers(TLO) had dug in with feigned groups at north and south of Vertical Rocks and 3 hidden (Jane, Killer and Danny) in the nook directly south of Vertical Rock The battle lines met just West of South Rocks Sonichu confidently pushed forward with lines extending north and south to face the feigned TLO groups dp was ambushed by the 3 TLO in the hidden nook and died to danny Jane died in the ambush due to efforts from dp's back ups (demon and Sov) The now medless marines (killer and danny) is forced to retreat from Demon and Sov when Champion came to reinforce them TLO line shrinks as their south team had no med while their north team is still enaged with Sonichu's other wing With their south flank wide open, TLO is in retreating mode The 2 medless marine (killer and danny) moved north to the mid gap of Vertical Rock, perhaps in hope of getting a heal from Quantum Quack (QQ) However Quantum was in retreat, perhaps realizing the threat from the south as Sonichu's south group move in to cross fire TLO danny died to r's fire from middle gap of Vertical Rock Fausto died off screen to Kevin (they were fighting north of Vertical Rocks) Killer is picked off by crossfire from south (by Champion) Gary was the only remaining TLO from the north group fell to The Mountain and superior numbers as Sonichu converge on him A retreating QQ caught a Law at the tiny gap between Plus building and Mesa The surviving marines from TLO (Dick(Dave) and Brillhart) retreats accross Mesa to be joined with TLO respawners Battle end with 28:07 to go (Sonichu 6, TLO 1) Second encounter A regrouped TLO heads north out of their DS Sonichu adjusted their lines to have half fortifying Vertical Rocks while the other half went north to West mid to see if they can spot the enemy The 2 squads spot each other just as TLO reaches Upside down Tshirt building and Sonichu's forces reached West Mid TLO decides to move south to engage Sonichu forces emerging from Plus Building Sonichu aggressively moves in from the South angle with teams coming off of Mesa joining the ones at Plus building Faced with the semi crossfire, TLO retreats north in a retreating battle Main force of TLO stops and give battle at the left of the Square building (just north west of Plus building) with isolated marines in the warehouse (killer) and left of warehouse (the building just north of TLO DS) (Fausto) Sonichu continues to push upward, slowly but surely isolating the 2 marines (forcing killer into warehouse while Fausto is forced to retreat north) TLO main forces splits up, with 2 (Jane and Dave) defending the alleyway between Warehouse and Square building while the rest ran behind Warehouse to reinforce Fausto on the west side of the battle Killer is now fully cut off from the rest of TLO but Sonichu hesitates at Warehouse's door, perhaps wary of killer's law and grenade skills among area full of physics Ultimately they decide to leave killer to his warehouse and split up. Sonichu main force goes north on the left side of Warehouse while leaving one south and one (Champion) to watch warehouse door dp is killed off screen in the fight to the north of Warehouse by Dave The 2 Sonichu (Champion and r) tried to lure killer out of Warehouse to ambush him but Champion's LAW did not do enough damage and killer lives Meanwhile the main force of Sonichu that went north (to chase Fausto) was pushed hard against the West edge of the EC (losing dp off screen) by TLO main force Sonichu's main group (Iron) finally managed to kill Fausto when Fausto pushed back in to join the fight with the rest of TLO Sonichu paid the price for that kill since most of them were facing north to kill Fausto, their flank is being ripped to shred by TLO's forces (Sov dies) Kevin and Demon soon died as TLO closes in and Iron did not last much longer Meanwhile at the door of Warehouse we see killer still stubbornly hanging on (made easier by that time since Champion is in retreat with r) r took off running escaping across Mesa (we see him joining the Sonichu respawns in South Rocks later), leaving Champion who for some reason remained Brillhart came from the north to engage Champion who begin to take fire from respawner (Fausto) to his left Champion is killed by Fausto in the crossfire Champion's death is almost exactly 25:00 minute left in the game (Sonichu 7, TLO 7) Third encounter: (South Rocks) TLO pushes east into South Rocks via the Mid-left choke and the Bottom choke The Mid-left choke group for TLO is met with fire from Sonichu forces hanging around the Mid choke of South Rocks Sonichu's Mid choke forces (Sov, Kevin, The Mountain (y) and dp) are attacked heavily by TLO crossfire coming from South-left choke Brillhart is killed by Demon off screen Sov and Kevin fell to the cross fire as y and dp escapes north out of Mid choke TLO forces turn to face Sonichu's South group (Demon, Iron and r) It is now revealed that earlier Brillhart was killed by Demon's group (emerging from Bottom-right Choke of South Rocks) as they all crossfire Sonichu's Mid-choke team Iron (the med) falls, left by himself as Demon and r took off retreating into Bottom-right choke of South Rocks Demon eventually falls at Octagon building while r continues his retreat right of Pig Rocks (this was only possible with fire from the north, from Sonichu's respawners distracting TLO forces for a few seconds, and Demon's last stand of course) Battle ends at 23:47 to go in the match (Sonichu 8, TLO 10) Movements: TLO retreats accross South Rocks after their victory and then head north on the left side of Vertical Rocks Sonichu forces pushed right back into South Rocks in the same formation (half into Mid Choke while the other half through Bottom-right choke) TLO moves as a group to West Mid and sit outside the door, planning an ambush there for a few seconds Sonichu pushes to Vertical Rock just missing TLO who have moved from their ambush position into Left Mid Sonichu must have caught vision of TLO as they split up with the bulk of their force heading for Left mid door while three going to South Mid door Meanwhile inside Mid TLO forces have all turned around and head over to Left Mid door Fourth encounter: Sonichu's force was caught by surprise it seems as they look to be moving right pass the Left mid door instead However due to TLO's own surprise, the push through the door was hesitant, giving that split second for these Law happy Sonichu to back off and react Fausto, Gary and Brillhart fell dead to the barrage of LAW and nades right at the Left Mid door Sonichu did not went unscathed in the exchange as Iron died to Dave TLO is forced to retreat and hold the choke - without realizing the Sonichu's 3 at South Mid who came pushing in TLO's reaction is slowed by the loss of its leaders just seconds earlier as 4 of the surviving 5 turned to face the 3 South Mid Sonichu ... leaving just 1 TLO (killer) to still focus on the Left Mid door choke As Dave and Jane turns to face the threat to their Right, Jane and then Dave is killed by Champion from the door way Sonichu's outside forces barely being held back by a grenade into the door way by Killer By this time TLO's besieged group is down to 3 (QQ, killer and danny) QQ and killer held Left Mid door desperately but they ran out of grenades, meanwhile danny could not hope to hold back the 3 to their Right The three are then cleaned up as the whole of Sonichu cornered them Battle ends at 21:43 left in the match (Sonichu 16, TLO 12) Movements: Sonichu splits up after the victory, half goes out Left Mid and the other goes to South Mid TLO decides to array themselves in front of their base, just left of Mesa Sonichu's South Mid forces has made their way down to just left of Vertical Rock while their Left mid team probes cautiously above Plus Building Sonichu's forces are very spread out at this point as Sov takes his Left Mid group as far north as top of Upside down Tshirt to look for TLO Lack of enemy vision forces Sonichu's Southern forces to move from Vertical Rock toward Mesa to investigate while Sonichu's northern forces goes even further north to look for enemy TLO forces continues to dig in among the many (mythical?) physics blind spots on the western edge of Mesa and left of Plus building Fearing some sort of trick, Sonichu regrouped and went North then into Mid to look for their elusive foes At 19:36 to go in the match, Fausto decided that Sonichu has been thoroughly confused and decides to move TLO's forces north toward Upside down Tshirt building Sonichu continues their search southward through South Mid, into South Rocks and out toward Octagon Building Meanwhile TLO moves through the Northern Corridor between School House building and Mid EC building Not spotting any red dots East of Pig Rocks, Sov have Sonichu move west again into South Rocks TLO splits up, leaving a large portion just outside of North Mid door while the other goes toward the Outside of North East mid door Kevin was the only Sonichu passing by South Mid door, it is possible he might have seen red dots in his radar inside mid if he had passed a second or 2 later Kevin and the rest of Sonichu passes from South Rocks to Vertical Rocks in a standard run TLO regrouped inside North Mid and move down to Mid, there they split up with half moving to West Mid door while the other half goes to South Mid Fifth Encounter: (Vertical Rocks) Dave at the head of TLO's West mid heading team spots Sonichu's forces around Vertical Rock At the same time TLO's South mid headign team emerges from South Mid to give further vision
Edited Feb 25, 2018 4:26 PM
Movements: TLO pulls the Left Mid team in and push eastward inside EC building Meanwhile Sonichu's action-starved team splits looking to engage West Mid door and South mid door Sonichu pulls back their teams and made a mad dash through South Rocks (probably guessing from radar movement that TLO was moving toward East Mid) As the teams parrallels their movement, Sonichu sends a group to South Mid while the other goes to Mid choke of South Rocks to look at East Mid door Taking a moment to regroup, TLO come bursting out of East Mid toward East of Pig Rock Sixth Encounter: (Outside East Mid door) Having anticipated the exit, Sonichu's Mid choke team opens fire on TLO A LAW seems to have split TLO in 2 groups, the faster one heading toward East of Pig Rock while the one left behind holds just outside East Mid door Sonichu moves eastward to capture the South angle against the East Pig rock TLO team Meanwhile Sonichu's South Mid team has moved east and drive TLO's stragglers away from East Mid door in a running battle TLO's Western group fought back as they realize that they cannot give away the Left angle or risk being pinched from crossfires Sonichu's left flank aggressively pushes north as their solo member push out from inside East Mid door The pinch is now complete as Dave (TLO's only left flank support) is forced away from East Mid to retreat north TLO collapses into the cross fire from both South and West and they are being pressed against the Hangar's South wall Jane fell first to a charging Champion from the Sonichu's east Pig rock wing killer (one of TLO's driven in left group) is killed as he was isolated Dave is killed by Sov to the north (off screen) Gary is killed by Champion, but y is killed by Fausto in the vicious fighting to the right of Pig Rocks as the now desperate TLO survivor pushes southward Kevin is killed by Fausto as Fausto dies to shots from a retreating Iron QQ fell as superior numbers of Sonichu moves in to clean up from the north Brillhart fell soon after and danny who splits from that group south to chase Iron died to the medic Battle ends with 16:30 to go in the match (Sonichu 24, TLO 14) battle rage must have confused Eric (demon) as he screamed at the vanquished Brillhart something about Sparta or other :) Movements: Sonichu moves West through South Rocks after their victory at East Pig Rocks The respawned TLO moves out of their DS, north of Plus building toward West Mid Sonichu reaches Vertical Rocks and spots TLO moving into the West Mid door Sonichu moves to intercept at South Mid, leaving a watcher at West side of EC looking north TLO moves through mid but decides not to engage the visible Sonichu forces at South Mid and instead opts to move into North Mid Sensing some possible tricks, Sonichu backs out of South Mid to regroup Up north, TLO splits up, half goes out of North West Mid door while the other half remains in the North West chamber of EC building, facing east TLO's western forces went out of North West Mid door and immediately head south towards West Mid door They are spotted by Sonichu's watch force standing just top of Vertical Rocks looking north Seventh encounter: TLO's eastern forces moved back into Mid and engages Sonichu in fire fight inside South Mid's doorway TLO's western forces stops at West Mid door and hesitates as if some debates goes on about the next move Long ranged shots solved nothing at Mid so TLO's eastern forces backed slowly northward into North Mid Movements: Sonichu's forces at South Mid door abandons that fight and opt to run north via East Mid leaving a token resistance of 1 marine under the right barrels of Mid Sonichu's watcher forces (Sov, r and Demon) moves away from Vertical Rock and back to the right side just outside of South Mid door The sudden abandonment of the fight at South Mid door seems to confuse TLO and their Mid group moved hesitantly back into Mid from North Mid Eighth encounter: Sonichu's east flank comes roaring into North Mid with guns blazing, putting fire on the confused TLO group who is then forced to retreat into Mid At this point we see no fire coming from Sonichu's southern forces (barely seen in radar is TLO's former west flank moving to South Mid door to engage) It is revealed that TLO's outside forces had driven Sov's watchers away from South Mid door and the lone marine for Sonichu at barrels did not risk sticking around Battles lines are stabilized as TLO and Sonichu forces stares at each other waiting for the other side to blink first On the radar it looks as though danny leaves Mid through the West Mid door, whether to check the flank or to try a flank himself, we do not know Sonichu's former watcher force moved through East Mid door to join the lone marine there and proceeds to push against the right flank of TLO's Mid forces TLO's forces outside South Mid moves in through South Mid door to intercept them Sonichu's Eastern forces retreats from TLO's southern forces and Dave looks to be flanking alone to East Mid door from the outside danny rejoins the TLO forces at Mid as both teams continues to trade long range fires looking for a lucky break Dave is driven back to just outside South Mid door as Sov and Demon exited East Mid door with the same goal of flanking Sonichu abandons North Mid and regrouped at East Mid, Demon is left outside just north of Pig Rocks to watch the southern flank TLO also decides to make a clean break and exits their main forces out through West Mid door, regrouping with others retreating from South Mid door Battle ends with about 12:27 left in the match (Sonichu 24, TLO 14) At this point (12:16 to go in match), players with most kills for Sonichu are: Champion (9-1) and Demon (4-2) Players with most kills for TLO are: danny (5-3) and Fausto (4-4) Movements: Sonichu confidently push right back into Mid with supports coming through North Mid door and North East Mid door but Mid is now empty TLO gathers around Vertical Rock Sonichu regroups and push toward South Mid door Sov hesitates here before sending a large portion of Sonichu out of West Mid while himself and 2 marine holding South Mid door Meanwhile TLO made a mad dash for South Rocks through the Left-mid choke Sonichu's western forces made their way down to Vertical Rocks TLO moves through Octagon building and north to East of Pig Rock Sov's group moves to Mid choke but seeing no enemy inside South Rocks, they hesitated, hovering around Mid choke and South Mid door Demon is sent to scout north of Pig Rocks but run into the entire group of TLO Ninth encounter: (West of Pig Rock) Despite Sov and Kevin's attempt to save him, Demon fell to multiple streams coming from the east Sov and his group (Kevin and r) retreats into Mid Choke of South Rocks TLO decides to make a battle line out of the eastern side of South Rocks as they rush south on the left side of Pig Rock Unfortunately for them, Sonichu's southern forces had been moving steadily through South Rocks all this time has arrived in time to take away the south angle Wild but fruitless battle broke out around the Octagon building and Sonichu's southern forces is forced to retreat as they are down a person still (Demon) TLO has split into a northern group (gary, Dave and Jane) that is now harassing the Mid Choke held by Sov, Kevin and r Iron, dp, y and Champion held the South, defending Right-mid choke and Bottom-right choke against Brillhart, Fausto, QQ and danny TLO pushed in to take advantage of their numbers before Demon could respawn Champion is killed by Brillhart who in turn is killed by y y is killed by killer who in turn is killed by Kevin gary is killed by sov Iron is killed by Dave and Kevin dies to danny dp is killed by Fausto as he tries to escape with r out Bottom-left choke Sov is finally killed by Dave who chased him to just left of Octagon building We see that Demon has respawned and is engaged in the fighting through Bottom-right choke of South Rocks r falls to Fausto in the Bottom-left choke Demon made his last stands (like king Leonidas) just south of Octagon building Jane fell to Demon's last defiant spear of a LAW Demon is killed (by thousands of arrows) by Dave and the converging TLO, making him the only one to die twice this encounter! Battle ends at 9:55 to go in the match (Sonichu 28, TLO 23) Sov decides to do subs dp and r is out nos and yosh in At this point (9:20 to go in match), players with most kills for Sonichu are: Champion (9-2) and Demon (5-4) Players with most kills for TLO are: Dave (6-2), danny (6-3) and Fausto (6-4) Movements: TLO regrouped in South Rocks while Sonichu make their way down to South Rocks after their subs Teams run into each other at the Eastern wall of South Rocks and held their position (at around 7:50 left to go) Sparse gun fire does nothing so both team settles into a staring contest as clocks runs down Sonichu sent a half hearted flank (Yosh) in to watch Mid through East mid, but with instructions it seems to just hold and let the clock run down TLO have a watcher at South Mid to watch their western and norther flank, but no real movement At 5:00 minute left in the match, Fausto pulls TLO out of South rocks after building up a large group but perhaps deciding against pushing Bottom-right choke The feigned retreat did not pull Sonichu in action as Sov is content with letting TLO come to them instead TLO made a determined push north, through West mid all the way to East mid to come down on top of Sonichu... Unfortunately for TLO, camp timer was running Sonichu is forced to move from their position (3:45 left to go in match) Sonichu moved into the vacated South Rocks, realizing for the first time that TLO had left for good TLO moves East of Pig Rock, hoping that Sonichu was still camping in the same spot... little did they know that Sonichu has been forced to move and they are now on the far side of Vertical Rock!

Sov leads his Sonichu north from Vertical Rock pass West Mid door even as TLO re-enters South Rocks By 2:43 left in the match, Sonichu is heading toward North Mid door on the outside, even as TLO exits South Rocks' western chokes Sonichu decides to kill the clock further by moving directly through the School House building to the northern edges of EC TLO sensing their prey is slipping away as they push into Mid via the South Mid door Sonichu continue their juking run down pass their base toward Pig Rocks TLO reversed course within mid and head down toward South Rocks In the very end, two squads ending up staring accross the same Eastern side of South Rocks with TLO in South Rocks and Sonichu fortifying Left of Pig Rocks and Octagon building Tenth Encounter: Battle is joined with 1:14 minute left in the match Both teams are being cautious, but time is on Sonichu's side TLO build up forces to the Bottom-right choke for one final push Agressive push from TLO forces Sonichu to abandon the southern chokes to back into Octagon building... But a LAW from Demon fired from the far north killed Brillhart and killer as they emerged from Bottom-right choke of South Rocks, halting the charge that might have overwhelmed Sonichu's South! Without the superior number and out of explosives, the rest of TLO loses the final encounter Match ends (Sonichu 34, TLO 24)

Brillhart THIS IS SPARTA!
I get you put in a fair bit of work/effort into this, so please take what I say constructively. Stop doing it. It doesn't make sense, you can just watch the video instead of trolling through this text to see your version of events. It would be best for you to just commentate on the matches and video trim key plays in matches and talk through you opinion/though process that way on big kills/plays etc.

This is quite a bit of work, but i felt that the content might be useful to the league. Some people may be turned off to the fact that the video quality isn't high enough or that it may not capture every angle of a match. This play by play allows the people to see sequential actions, the decisions and consequence of a squad's action. Not to mention, trash talkers now have a more concrete basis to go on rather than something real or imagined that they couldn't remember clearly from years ago. For example, in that other play by play i posted, we don't see too much of MikeC now a days in the forum, but who can say that he didn't face down England and Trisance and beat them in a 1v2 and lived to tell about it? A lot of the heroics, blunders and funny moment in a match would be missed.

i finished reading this entire post. this is all infinite's video but in your words. your personal first-hand recounting of the tale would of been much different but i'm guessing you're using his video as source material correct?

all of this is gleaned from the videos that Infinite posted. Any actions that were not on screen will be labeled as Off screen. If the location of that action is later verified when on screen action shifted (such as if I see where the dead body was) I will fill in the detail as to where the fight took place. That is for those who are interested in locations of each fight and how the battle field shaped up.

beautiful. you're basically documenting these matches so we have an accurate record of what went on
Someday when the infantry galactic records are found by the historians this will there for everyone to see.
thumbs up
Seriously though Lunar, I always appreciate someone who has the drive to put this much effort into their work. If you enjoy this type of writing then keep it up as this is really interesting to read. Don't burn yourself out in the process, but if you enjoy it then stay on it. In short, good shit man.
battle rage must have confused Eric (demon) as he screamed at the vanquished Brillhart something about Sparta or other :)
