Pandy is likely getting hit by a penalty with stats because if you look at his recent matches it only has 4 games worth of data (for this season) ... which puts him below 65% matches played. .. That said, the first two weeks he was on Leftovers and I know he left after the week 2 match prior to stats being input into the site. That may have something to do with it. Either way he would be receiving the same "squad boost" that I am as he's being graded for BS in that way. Not sure thats a Champ question more than me though in terms of ratings.
Can we add a HEADSHOT category. I'm pretty sure I lead the league in HEDCHOTS.
Looking at the spreadsheet with ratings it has Pandy listed as playing 4 games. So therefore he was receiving a penalty for being less than 65%.
Why would you penalize someone for doing well in a shorter period of time, if anything it should be the opposite. Instead of games played, should look at total kills, total deaths, kdr, kpg, assist pts and then look at squad adjust. edit: And is there a system for players that play both marine and medic?

Can't make everyone happy these days.
It's to remove inflated ratings. It's always been the case with any rating formula, whether it's USL or SL. If you don't play in some games your rating drops. Anyone can come in and play 1 or 2 really good games and hold on to a high rating for a whole season if they wanted to. This will just gradually decrease their rating over the season unless they play in at least 65% of the available games in a season.
Whats wrong with coming in and playing for 1-2 games and getting a good rating for those said games? It's not like they're going to win an award or be on the top of the kills charts. In the example I listed your system is essentially penalizing pandy for doing in 4 games what took Riley 9 and arguably better but I guess thats just my opinion. Next season if you implement it, how exactly would you factor everything in for the first few weeks?
The penalty isn't very harsh it's just to keep them more in line with everyone else. It would take a few weeks before they would even go into effect. It's more of a late season thing.
This looks to be pretty close to the sl ratings Seems to be just raw kills gives you more of a positive than deaths gives you a negative? Regardless of comp?
So I have ratings slightly working right now. Medics are still kind of whacky so I'm trying to adjust them. You can view ratings on player profile pages for now until I get them worked into the rest of the website.
Champ just curious, why is my rating so low? Does missing/sitting matches effect someone that much. It took players around me 8 or 9 games to do what I did in 5.

I think the amount of games and actually who you played against (the competition factor) that they have implemented is what hurt your rating. 3 matches vs BS, 1 vs MS and 1 vs TL

There's still some tweaks to be done to the penalty factor when missing games. I might reduce it to only penalize people who play in less than 45% of the matches in a season.
Eric I played every squad except sonichu which one I wasn't allowed and the other was forfeit. So shas and em4 have way better ratings even though I did better in those games played. The sonichu match they had bad scores too. Just wondering I really don't care just seems like a big penalty for missing a match. Less incentive for people to want to sit and let others play but I know sonichu doesn't care about that :))

It wasn't a shot at you so don't take it personal. I'm just saying the amount of games clearly impacted. and then each squad has a different competition factor I think because you played the same squad 3x(since its that same comp factor) combined with the amount of games hurt your overall
ratings are not final by any means. still needs a bunch of tweaking. will work on it more when I have free time.
I'm just saying competition factor or games played shouldn't be a huge deal IMO. Just with how watered down this game is now, every match is a stat pad. But looks nice having ratings again that's for sure. GG chris
I think I finally got medic ratings down. Report back with (serious) feedback for these ratings and if you think they're accurate overall.

Metal 74( too high) Chica(77) too high CC(91) fitting, Jane(65) too low, Quantum Quack(71) too low something got thrown way off, seems like CC's is the only one that remained intact
