Looking for individuals to ref, I will personally add an end of season incentive for active referees to devote your time. Whether it be a plane ticket to Fausto's house for dinner or a steam game. Message dp/eric/champ with your interest and show up on sundays.

perhaps current refs can write a Refing or arena set up guide to allow the general population play around with? That way with more people comfortable with the commands, there may be more volunteers available.

Personally feel each squad should have a ref. That way each squad is aware of staff decisions. I also think all advisors should be removed and replaced with a single deputy admin. Advisors to the league should not be making administrative decisions. All advising should be done through the captains forum as those players are the ones that truly know the pulse of their squads and can voice their opinions on rule changes to reflect the pulse of their piece of the community. In its current state you have a select few that represent a very small fraction of the community and make decisions based on what is best for them and not what is necessarily felt best by the people running squads. If you need advisors then you should look to your league captains as they are the ones best in tune with their respective players. Not some panel of friends that think they know what is going on in every squad. That said if I have nobody that WANTS to ref from my squad. Then I will be happy to fill a position and ref when able but likely be limited to at best one game a week and realistically one every two.

No one is asking anyone to ref every match. We just need enough refs to make sure each match is covered and letting some refs get SBs in before/after matches.

I've offered to reset my macros and such for reffing again. Might have actually blown up my macros when I pressed G1 on my KB and suddenly every macro I owned went off and silenced me...which was cool. But yea, I do intend to actually ref if needed this season as well. Also, we've seen what babble does with power.....former SMod right? :)
