How are they calculated? Something seems very wrong
stavudine has played the same opponents as water plus 2/3 of the top squads and has more heal points than anyone in the top 10 by 5000 yet isn't rated in the top 10?

The whole rating system is jacked. I mean 3rd overall has a .9 kdr.. Thats great for a medic though.
18-66 is 2nd best medic. Live with it.

im 8th and infinite is 6th on top 10 medics lol. new rating is alright; the low rates can risk everything to rise while the high rates defend what they have as they rise.

Rating system is meant to bring people on lower squads who are performing well given the squad they're on, more in line with players who get inflated stats on top squads. It's just that this season most players on the "top" squads aren't doing well.
If you feel as if you can contribute a more accurate rating system I am all ears. This is why I originally removed ratings many seasons back. Because people would complain about them. But if you look through the top 10 from the last few seasons they seem pretty accurate to me.

Dont let these faggots bring you down. THe new formula is fcking perfect. It shows exactly that I am on par or actually better than all these faggots on the top squads raping squads every week... I proved also 1v1 not many can touch me, these faggots better recognize. You did a great job with the formula, thank you for bringing us players on lowers squads back to the well deserved spot light.

Are wins and losses calculated in rating?
For example, If two players have the same stats but one played in a win and the other in a loss, do they get the same rating?

Yes wins and losses should affect rating but not much.

Water has only played two games, stav 4. Stav way more healing and ap than anyone in top 10, while being on a squad with a lower rating than half of them?

Did you rate the squads before the season started? because by week 2 ratings seemed a bit off and it was too early to tell who were the "top squads" (at least on paper)
No it's based on the standings ratings
So what in the ratings is making water higher than Stavudine ? All signs point to to stav
My guess would be the amount of deaths and only having 2k assist points is the cause. Meaning that in less games, Water had more "effective" healing overall than Stav did in 4 games.
So AP is weighed more heavily than Heal pts? By a wide margin?
Not a wide margin. But yes assist points are more favorable because healing is kind of an arbitrary stat imo. We never had healing as a stat in SOE so the formula is trying to closely mimic that while still incorporating healing.
#2 medic here reporting. Also had the most healing of any medic in a single season last season, and was #2 last season.
I think the ratings are accurate. Mediocre players doing well on stacked squads should not be valued as high as good players doing well on squads that get stomped.
I think that favors aggressive medics over medics that actually heal more, so we're rewarding meds that heal less but shoot more and probably let their team die. Over the the meds that shoot occasionally and heal a lot more.
