Aware of an issue in SL with players getting specced after only 1 death. Should be resolved soon and then the mixes and SBs can start.
My two takeaways from the draft...

If after game starts this is always been the case. Ie. Someone lags out with 0 deaths. The sub only gets 1 death.

Already fixed. Waiting on someone to upload the updated script & recycle. I'll have to make some small updates soon aswell to add a few *commands for controlling subs and what not but it will work for mixes/sbs for the time being.

Nah it was happening just on their first death even after being in before the game started.
