Thank you Lobas and Abbath for being so damn industrious. I think the combination of different marketing channels, especially the combination of Discord, uslzone.com and FI.com has paid off in spades to keeping the population slowly rising and giving new life to the game. I'm glad to see the thread on top of /r/mmorpg for an entire day like that. It's one thing for us to talk shop between ourselves, it's another to engage in it on a public place like reddit that has no insight into the community whatsoever. By all means, feel free to advertise the stuff we work on alongside whatever Latta or whoever else might advertise. So I looked at Lattasoft's comment history after reading the thread and found this gem in a AMA to someone named VideoGameAttorney "I am in the process of re-creating a game from my childhood, infantry online. I am doing my best to avoid using any lore from their game but would like to know if what I'm doing is legal? The game will be more or less a copy of the mechanics from the old one, with changes to maps and naming." What a fucking moron. Lets just go play devil's advocate here for a second and envision a future where this guy actually makes this game and publishes it. Now obviously he is opening himself up for a lawsuit, but posting a comment like that after you assured all your backers that there would be no legal issue just doomed any sort of defense he would have and not only could Daybreak sue him for IP infringement, he could also be sued by everyone who backed it because he knowingly perpetrated a fraud by claiming there would be no legal issues at one point but then months down the line posting a comment like that which completely contradicts his original claim.
