March 24th isn't necessarily the start date if you vote for that. March 24th would be the earliest though. With maybe April 28th being the latest. If March 24th wins, I'll put up another new Poll asking for March 24 vs April 28 like I originally had.

For those of you who want to fit the season between the Super Bowl and GoT premiere, assuming you are serious you need to convince other people. We would need to start seeing some squads being formed and ready to go in a month or so. As it stands right now, with support pretty evenly divided I am inclined to wait until around April.

I know I voted for the closer start date, but in all honesty, taking a longer break will help get organized and provide amply time to discuss/implement changes.I agree that if the votes are this even, no point to force a early start date if peoples interest are elsewhere.

Are you really going to be able to keep a player base engaged until after GoT though? If you start in Feb you get a season, take time off for GoT and test things for possible long term changes and start when it is finished. Is essentially taking two seasons off really the best thing moving forward for this league?

Yes.

I'm all for fitting a season in between the Super Bowl and GoT. It'll probably be sloppy. But it would presumably keep players engaged. Then we take a longer off season during GoT if that many of you are positive you won't be able to play Sundays because of it. I'm also perfectly fine playing during GoT. I have DVR & HBO GO. We can have a normal length off season. Test the maps. Give squads time to form and practice together. Waiting completely until GoT is over at the end of May is definitely the worst option imo.
