There are only two competitive squads, I don't understand this system? Is there no way to introduce a draft system to help create a more competitive/ fun season and enforce players with lower skill rating to get mandatory play time in every game of the season? Top tier players should compete for starting spots against each other... not vs lower skilled players or stackers happy to ride benches.
I’m down, what do we need to set this up? Too many people just want to play with their friends?

Compromise would be 2-3 players run capt and co capt then rest is draft. I'd suggest 1 cap and 2 co-cap Allows for friends to play but will allow for better distribution across the rest of the teams

Edit maps to be a bit smaller and do 5v5 with a roster cap of 8. But the only issue with that is lack of people willing to run/lead a squad.

We had a total of what 2-3salary cap seasons? The reason it didnt last is because as a community a majority of people(myself included) only enjoy playing with a select few. I know I wouldnt want to lead again. A draft? If I dont like the team im picked by i'd just sit out lol, just being realistic here. Speaking mainly for myself here but tfs wouldnt have come back if we werent just gonna play together. Granted 16 roster spots since its the first season back is a lot. Next season will be a hard cap and most definitely nothing higher than 10 but we'll cross that path later. Also sup kip
Agreed Kippa If people want infantry to thrive, you need to learn to play with other people.

It's weird, people are saying they won't play if they get drafted by a team they don't like. But also people are also saying they aren't going to play if the teams are not balanced. Who to appease? My original suggestion I made a long time ago with small teams would force competition and force fast paced gameplay. If the maps were small, camping and running around finding each other wouldn't be an issue and lets say we had 6 man rosters with 4v4 (1 med, 2 marines, 1 support).. we could easily get 12 teams. Everyone would get playtime that want it.

In the current terrain I agree, not sure if people would feel different if there were changes.

I like this idea. Easier to manage a team of 7 rostered and 4 starters too.
I think if we were to do something like that it would be a great time to introduce the elo rating system I've been working on that would calculate player ratings much better than the current rating system does. Similar to the USLDL rating system but on a slightly bigger scale.

tbf when the league started up again we barely had enough players to form 4 squads. There was an influx of players that came back after week 1.

Everyone starts at 1500 Winner Score = (Kills + (Deaths / 2)) / (Total Team Kills - 1.5) + Win (where win = 1 and loss = 0) Loser Score = (Kills + (Deaths / 2) - 1.5) / (Total Team Kills - 1.5) + Loss Expected Score = 1 / ( 1 + 10 ^ ( ( Avg Rating of Enemy aka MMR - Your Rating ) / 400 ) ) Rating = Old Rating + 32 ( Score - Expected Score) The only issue is it would probably take a couple seasons in order to get accurate MMR's. Hard to go back and calculate ELO for past seasons at this point. But the good thing about that formula is it would really punish people stat padding on better squads and really benefit the people doing well on lesser squads.
