So for some reason I am having a problem with infantry when it comes to my frames. I am getting around 30 but I know with my cpu I have had much more. Even earlier this evening the game teased me running at 120 for a lil bit but when I logged back in it was back to around 30. I am running Windows 10 and the game in Windowed mode, any thoughts?
windows 10 is killing it. same thing happened to me so i bought a new drive install my old OS back to wins 7. the problem with windows 10 is that there's too many apps running in the background. press control alt delete and see what programs are running in the background. even you end task it, it comes back. -_-
It cannot be just Windows 10 I have had 120+ frames running Infantry on Windows 10 and most processes have been turned off
A great player learns to adapt to situations.
Infinite, right after we talked I started Overwatch and kept infantry open and when I switched out of Overwatch back into Infantry I am getting 130+ frames again, it is crazy any thoughts??
lol weird. overwatch settings amplifier lol.
BB do you have NVIDIA shadowplay/Geforce experience installed? I had that issue and after disabling it my frames went back to normal. Could explain why when you have Overwatch open your frames go back to normal because it's hooked into OW instead of Infantry.

Im playing on Windows 8 and im at 100 fps
Ernie, I do have GeForce Experience installed, did you uninstall it?
think he just disables it when he isnt playing a game that needs it
Yea I think there is something else going on, there is something wrong with the Nvidia Control Panel. It wont let me add Infantry as a program that uses the card.
I completely uninstalled GeForce Experience.
fucking nerds english please
BB, Did you get your frames increased? If so, what did you do?
Ernie, I deleted GeForce Experience and still the low FPS persists.
I think your problem is Windows 10 tbh. You should install 7 on a partition and dual boot for when you play Infantry, at least with windows 7 you can change to windows classic theme which significantly increases FPS for Inf. You might have to ask someone else who plays on a laptop and uses Win10 since I've never messed with either, all I could say is to mess with the advanced settings on the Infantry client one at a time until you get the optimal settings, also turn off fogged vision in game.
Talking about a graphics card setting.
Ernie, That does sound like a viable option for me. Let me see if I can figure out how to partition and what not. On my work Laptop - Windows 7, I get over 200 fps. That laptop is 2 1/2 years old. Compared to my current laptop which is 1 month old.
I think it has something to do with win8/10 lack of 16bit color support. Its a shitty fix but what you should try is when you startup the game and are in a zone open task manager(ctrl+shift+tab), go to the details tab and find dwm.exe and rightclick end task. It will restart itself right away but the framerate in infantry should skyrocket, only catch is you have restart infantry and end dwm.exe every time you switch zones/arena.
Thanks Nos, I will try that out today. If it works - Is there a perm fix for this or do I have to perform those steps every time?
