I was just talking to Im The King tonight about old Skirmish League memories. Intrinsic was mentioned and I couldn't remember who was on the squad...so I looked it up.
Check out this lineup...and look at little Ender on the bench, just starting to play Infantry. I played as Ad.

Cry havoc and let slip the Week 1 SFL Analysis!
To start off week 1, lets take a look at the match-ups:
WarDogs vs Unreal
u vs FiN@L~F@Te
mannerTeam vs Abundance
Special 0pz vs Hospitality
Surgical vs squid
Just based off the schedule it looks like WarDogs and Surgical are going to be producing a lot of the picks, while people will take their chances with u/FF players for big points.
WarDogs have been putting in a lot of time getting prepped for the 10th season of SL. A few key players to be watching this weekend are going to be Old Mans Child (80 points), Phony (80), iii (60), and Butch~ (55). Butch~ will likely be playing both games this weekend as he will be leading. While hes not the best player on the squad by any means, this alone will increase his potential points. Hell likely pick up a few kills, but his leading will put him further from the battle at times, which may not work out well for the 25% of SFL that will be picking him, but at 55 points hes a steal this weekend. Old Mans Child has been rolling lately. In his recent SDL match he was definitely on point, and 80 points almost makes him worth a pick this weekend. iii is only 60 points, but his play is rarely consistent. Hes usually good for 2-4 kills each match, but occasionally hell have a flashback and kick out 6+ kills. Hes definitely a risk to take every week, but he could have a breakout game this week against Unreal (especially when Butch~ dies out early on and he has to lead). Phony is one of the top medics in the league, which makes him a great pickup at only 80 points against a new squad. The odds of him not performing well this weekend are slim to none assuming he shows up.
u and FiN@L~F@Te face off against each other this weekend, which ties up a total of 7800 points between the two squads. Picking any of these expensive players is a risky move because theres no telling which way this match will lean. Dr. JeJo, Monkey, Sky, Zizzer, AkzeL, and kaga are all 120, but thats not going to stop people from picking them. Any of these players can turn the tide of a battle using only their feet. Kaga and Sky may not be the best bets being that medics rely on +/-, and this match will most likely not be a blowout. Tough call between the other four players, but I think that the marines will have more impact on this game than the support classes.
Surgical offers up a few good picks this weekend also. ZueL (95) is a great choice as an alternative to AkzeL and saves 25 points to use elsewhere. Wazz~Up? (70) is not even close to being anywhere near the top of the grenadier list, but hell hit his moments occasionally and pick up a few kills. May be worth the 70 points, but Leefy G (85) is only 15 points more and this Heavens Wrath winner will likely perform better against Hospitality this weekend. em4awon (105) is a very consistent marine, and has been pretty active lately from what Ive seen. Ender (90) has always played pretty well, and will have to step in and lead when Drift (85) dies out first, but this shouldnt stop him from playing well. Switzerland (90) is a great pick as medic if you have the extra points from maybe picking Wazz as nader (lol!?). Last but not least, Prisoner (95) is a steal if he shows for this weekends match. Surgical shouldnt have much trouble with squid, and Prisoner is a seasoned leech (:p).
Other players that should perform regardless of their squads performance are Jekyll (110), Peace (100), and Legacy (110). These players are great options if you have the points. How will you get these points? Look at some of the sleepers. These players may or may not perform well this weekend, but their low cost makes them expendable: shishke bob (60), Deviak (65), Mecca (75), and ryde (60).
My Week 1 Picks:
Ma: Butch~ (55)
Ma: brian9922 (60)
Ma: Monkey (120)
Gr: Leefy G (85)
Ri: Zuel (95)
Sn: Zizzer (120)
Me: Phony (80)
Me: Jane (60)
Im probably making a mistake putting so much on the WD match by picking 3 players, but I think it will be a low-death game for WD, so I went with two of their medics. Odds are one of them wont show and Ill be screwed. :/ Butch~ and brian9922 are cheap marines that will be leading this weekend. Monkey is guaranteed to impress everyone against u in his FF debut match. Leefy G is a consistent pick as hell use his expertise to rock Hospitality. Zuel is cheaper than Akzel, and will still put up good numbers. Zizzer is the reason I didnt have enough to pick Akzel. Zizzer will tear apart us medics this weekend when he gets his chances (which wont be many).
I misses Pony =(
