If you guys want to make it so we have an even 8 squads this year, you should consider joining "Nothing Special" I have 9 members, but so far I can only count on 5 or so of the guys to show up sundays. If you are a free agent I would appreciate it if you would consider joining NS :/

You should hit up pubs to see if any players are still left, and force Jovan to join up. He needs to play this season.

Jovan was supposed to be joining, and I've basically hit up everyone that I know isn't in a squad yet and all I get are "maybe" or I get no reply at all. No one wants to join a squad that they know is going to be bad. That is not the USL way.

I would argue that people like to play with people they know. I'll do some recruiting on your behalf tomorrow night and Wednesday. See what we can turn up. I would recommend sbing with the 5 guys you have right now. Use nt's as often as you need. You are welcome to pm me, or I would imagine any member of the staff and ask if we are available. I'll come play medic/marine for you as often as I can.

Try to find some active-loyal guys to build chemistry with. I know it's tough recruiting anyone when there aren't a lot those types of players. You'll find it's the best way to build/create a better squad though. It doesn't matter how good they are initially. Develop some chemistry with your core guys and just try to have fun.

I was talking to two players tonight. Ayb and Noskeeper I think Chica just picked up ayb, but she honestly doesn't need anymore players at this point. See if you can poach him and pick up Noskeeper. There will be games Sunday, and they are going to want to play.

I've already asked both of them. I think Legends already snaked them. Every person I ask will tell me maybe. Then they go and join Legends lmao. And I would take PartySTL in a heart beat. That dude is a beast :P

Tell your guys to show up Sunday night ready to play. We'll figure it out. Angry Frogs has a guy on our lineup, Messiah HK - I think he'd be a dream pickup for you guys. Really raw but pretty damn talented. Play him as LMG. I'll ask him when I see him next. He just wants to improve, and I think the best way to improve in this league is to jump in the pool and start swimming with a lower squad on the starting lineup if at all possible.

Yeah I tried to get him before he went to AF. It's just really frustrating that all these "good" people would rather bench a win, than start a loss. It's saddening.

I remember when I mad x 0 x, I took some bums out of other leagues and turned them into a semi-competitive squad, every good player should do this at least once.

I remember in SL when Arcades came over with Beaver, Man Incognito, Beelzebub, Nite and they played in season 1 as Aar. For the pre-season tournament and the first 3 weeks of SL Season 1 they got absolutely WORKED. Like royally fucked. Just couldn't get everybody on the same page and got slaughtered in 2v5 and 3v6 scenarios. Around Week 4 though everything starting clicking into place, and by the end of the season they finished 5th our of 12 squads I think? Something crazy like that. It takes time to learn how a group of guys plays together, but if you have the skill, it will all come together at some point. Good Story right... Seriously though, stick with it. And I agree - the people who'd rather bench on a winning team frustrate the living hell out of me too.
