USL Season 17: The Six Week War
Part 3 – Elsdragon Compound
In 116 CE Albert Renne becomes the first documented Psionic ever. His ability to move objects with his mind causes uproar. Up to this point telekinetic power was only a rumor. It was often referred to as having, “the sight” and before Renne, most claimed to be blind.
Many became infatuated with Psionics, but no one more than Collective general Mariusz Elsdragon. He wanted to meet anyone who claimed to have the sight, but the volunteers weren’t coming fast enough. Eventually he began marching into small colonies with dozens of soldiers and forcibly loading people into mobile detainment vehicles. The captives were then taken to a small facility for questioning.
Over time Elsdragon was able to weed out real Psionics and place them in segregated cells. Little did the prisoners know that the time for questioning was long gone. A larger station had been built and was equipped with all the necessary amenities for all types of atrocities. Elsdragon Compound (EC) was developed to experiment on Psionics to find the source of their abilities.
General Elsdragon had Psionics from all across the solar system transported to EC. There they would be subjected to everything from eye exams to vivisection and there was no end in sight. No names were ever recorded and bodies were dumped in mass graves.
In 129 CE Albert Renne was assassinated while attending a charity event on Ceres. When this news reached EC there was a surge in the power of all Psionics. A riot broke out in the middle of the night and General Elsdragon was murdered before he could escape. His head and hands were never found.
Soon after the death of Elsdragon the Collective shut down EC and turned it into a galactic monument. To this day the compound still stands with a majority of the infrastructure still intact…for now.

Stiletto Nails have found a buyer for their Helium-3, or at least they think they have. For days members of Ad Infinitum exchange correspondence with SN under the guise of a pseudonym. SN believes they’re speaking with a high-ranking officer in the Collective and they agree to meet at Elsdragon Compound.
Amongst the AI ranks there is an argument of when to strike. Co-captain Emperor insists that they wait a little longer, but marine Poske is impatient. Disobeying command he runs forward and screams “haze them” as members of SN come around the corner. Pant puts him down easily and effectively ruins the surprise AI has in order.
Because SN is so aggressive, AI knows they can’t take them straight on so they slow-play them. They do their best to make sure SN is constantly pushing into them, which forces SN to fight without much cover. They continue to duke it out and add bullet holes to the dental depot.
The two factions fight steadily for 20 minutes with no deciding battle from either side. AI is still yet to see the Helium-3 that they know is there. There has been no action on the right side of EC and SN prefers this because that is where the prize is hidden.
The fight ends up in the main building and destruction brings preservation to its end. One at a time, the separate laboratories are laid with blankets of broken glass and blood. It’s not long before the fight spills back onto the pavement and into the brain stimulation and degeneration chamber.
Ad Infinitum can no longer take the heat and decide to abandon their mission. Stiletto Nails make it out alive and with the Helium-3.

Weaponized Autism has no Helium-3 and they recently took a beating. Needless to say, they’ve had better days. Good thing for them their luck is about to change because they have several atmosphere processors and they’re leading them straight to Elsdragon Compound.
Purple Cobras are growing tired of fighting. Their captain, ez, is fully recovered from their first battle with Whoa and he urges his squad to stand tall. He tells them that they must endure so they can reach what little family there is back home.

PC knows WA is inside so they hide the Helium-3 and pursue them. They attempt to be the aggressors, but WA proves too strong for the PC army. They fall back out of the south rocks to draw WA close, but that tactic fails. PC retreats into the dead tree garden where no flowers bloom and the only thing ever in season is gloom.
Knowing WA is too close to the H3, captain ez sends Ninj to stand guard. He risks facing WA a man down in order to keep the cargo safe.
In the next battle WA quickly realize PC is down one man and become even more aggressive than before. Instead of standing their ground PC instantly runs for cover and WA is in hot pursuit yet again.
With their backs against the wall, ez sends yet another marine to watch the Helium-3; Apdo meets up with Ninja to stand guard. During this time PC takes quite a beating from WA, which is why ez eventually calls Ninja and Apdo back into the fight.
In the end there isn’t much PC can do to stop WA, they’re just too strong. WA overruns them and reclaims the Helium-3.

In true Whoa fashion, they scurried onto Elsdragon Compound after hearing all the noise. While WA and PC duked it out Whoa runs around looking for any dropped valuables and on occasion risk being seen by the Purple Cobras.
A wild friend appears.

It would seem yet another captain has abandoned Whoa. There is no Octavian in sight and it leaves the remaining members twiddling their thumbs.
friend are here to do nothing but steamroll and reenact the atrocities performed on Psionics. This many screams have not filled the halls of the compound since Elsdragon himself roamed these grounds.
This battle is nothing, but Whoa attempting to capture the top honors in the Guinness Universal Records book for most dropship respawns.
At the end of the day Elsdragon Compound still stands. Much damage has been done to the facility, but it pales in comparison to the damage done in the past.
