In regards to the match that transpired last night between WH and OUR. First and foremost I understand there was no ill-intent by agreeing to go 7s to avoid a forfeit and while I’m aware that in the past you could agree to go below the minimum this is not the case.

We have rules for a reason and even if a ref thinks they’re doing the right thing the match should not have taken place.

5.1 Default team size is eight players, however captains may agree to any amount above seven.

This is pretty clear and concise and as such the results of the match between these two teams will be WH winning by forfeit.

Hopefully we can move forward without any further issues. GL to all squads for the remainder of the season.
