I get what they went for there. Sansa spent the whole season being bitchy too her. Varys betrayed her. She thinks even Jon betrayed her. Miss Sunday got beheaded. Jorah got ganked. She has no friends in a strange foreign land and she sees her "destiny" slipping away. Jon isn't putting out. But man it happened way too fast. They 180'd her previous 7 seasons in a couple of episodes that do not illustrate the passage of time well at all.
Fuck Tyrion btw. Rats out Varys for treason then commits treason 5 minutes later.

ROFL true that
Tyrion used to be my fav guy he's been such a softy pussy the past few seasons, he fell down the list quickly.. same with Jon/Davos - Why follow Dany at this point?
Baelish, Varys, Tyrion, and Tywin are what got me hooked on the show. Tywin fortunately died before he was raped. But Varys, Baelish, and Tyrion fell apart after season 4.

I can understand this if Tyrion knew Varys would talk to Jon. He preemptively revealed to Dany to save himself knowing Varys was dead once he spoke to Jon.
I thought it was because they found out he was trying to poison Dany. The scene with the little girl where he says "the greater the risk, the greater the reward" and then "we'll try again at supper" or whatever when she wasn't eating. That basically eluded that he was trying to poison her or maybe I'm crazy.
I think the bad writing is half the problem the other half is the 2 main characters this story boils down to just suck as actors.
Littlefinger's death was so rewarding though Yeah Varys hinted to Tyrion he was going to rat her out/kill her. Tyrion didn't want that for... whatever reason even though they all knew she was going to be a shit queen.
Its not what I wanted, but its the only ending we are going to get.
I think the biggest problem is that a lot of us were hoping for another Breaking Bad. But instead what we got is a Dexter.
Lmao in my slack at work someone just said that. We get the Sopranos/Dexter not the 6ftUnder/BB.
I'm hoping the "martin hasnt wrote anything" is all a ruse, and we get both books back to back after next sunday. Wishful thinking.
Expecting a flushed out ending in 6 episodes is my favorite qq lmao Also if you think you’re going to read a different ending whenever he finishes the books, I highly doubt that, but it will def be more detailed and satisfying. But this is definitely the ending that he outlines for the double Ds. Boy I can’t wait for the new Star Wars trilogy lmao
GRRM probably has same ending A lot of peeps think that there's gonna be a book commercial during finale and he's been done this whole time
Well the sopranos just had a shitty finale, the rest of the final season went well enough. But this show is like a car that slammed on the brakes and is hanging off a cliff in season 7 then the writers got out and pushed it over the edge this season. The thing with HBO is outside of a couple of shows like 6 feet under and the leftovers none of them seem to have a good finale or final season. The Wires last season was just ok but it was by far the worst season of that shows run. Same with the Sopranos and then you can go way back and look at Oz I think there's alot more parallels to Oz and Game of Thrones. Both ran around the same amount of seasons both were driven by great performances by characters who were on the periphery and by the final episodes both turned into a parody of what they once were.
I didn't think The Leftovers had a good ending at all.
To each their own I thought it was perfect.
Maybe I'm just predisposed to liking stories that have an element of batshit insanity. A Scanner Darkly is one of my favorite movies, and the movie ive probably watched the most times from start to finish in my life is Southland Tales which by any metric is a terrible movie and I probably couldn't explain to you what the exact story is. But there's Stifler and the Rock as Messiahs who didn't take a shit in 3 days.
I mean, as far as I am aware, D&D have drifted away a lot from what GRRM outlined for them for Books 6+. So who knows. Most likely though, ya. We'll have Mad Queen Dany destroying Kings Landing in the ending. I do expect at least a few key significant changes though to some character endings and arcs.
