Let’s be clear: BR is still the true #1 team, but AD is temporarily sitting in the top spot after their win over OBROS. Previously sitting at 0-4, the victory over OBROS was a huge morale boost for the squad. The victory gave the league quite a shock and with a matchup against 12.7 coming up, another win (and hopefully more) could very well be on the horizon. Securing a win against 12.7 can help the squad move up and get some wins in the back half of the season especially if 12.7 stays winless, and if OBROS loses a few more matches.
AD recently added the wonder from down under, the one and only JIM. From the land of kangaroos and chaos, look for Jim on the battlefield to make some plays.
POP BOTTLES indeed.

Bus Riders
Temporarily sitting in the #2 spot as mentioned earlier, I didn’t catch the match against HTB but judging by the scoreline it looked like a slow, defensive battle. Still, BR managed to pull away against the squad with the hottest players in USL. Now sitting at 5-0, it feels like BR could be headed for another undefeated run. I also don’t see them having much trouble this Sunday against ORBOS.

Warhawks
WH isn’t really the #3 team, but based on the rankings above, this is where they land for now. Even with the teams agreeing to play 7v7, the outcome never felt in doubt, as WH handled ORBOS pretty comfortably which is exactly what most people expected. Unfortunately for WH, the postgame drama took center stage after basement troll king Eric came down with an iron fist, leading to the result being overturned into a forfeit win for WH.
That controversy aside, WH now heads into one of the more intriguing matchups of the weekend against MT this Sunday, and that should be a fun one to watch.

meme team
MT moves up to #4 this week after a comfortable win over 12.7, and there honestly isn’t much more to say about that result. That said, MT and HTB feel interchangeable at the #4/#5 spots depending on the week. Both of these teams seem very evenly matched and always seem capable of giving each other a competitive game.
Eric went on a recruiting spree picking up a few more players like Mountain, bonds, Fausto, and Worth. If there a few others forgive me, but adding these key players filled his roster. Be on the lookout for MT going forward.
This Sunday is absolutely massive for MT with a doubleheader and playoff implications on the line. They’ve got the Match of the Week against HTB, followed by another tough showdown later that night against WH. The big question: will Eric’s tacti-cool beard be enough to guide MT to two huge wins? Tune in to find out.

hot tub boys
The super-hot boys and their elite good looks weren’t enough to take down BR last week, but HTB still looks to be in a strong position moving forward thanks to the recent additions of haup, killer, and abbath. The roster has gotten noticeably deeper, and they’ll have a huge opportunity to prove themselves in this Sunday’s Match of the Week against MT.
Maybe the boys break out the frosted tips and early-2000s energy for the occasion — if they do, they might just walk away with a huge win which they need for a playoff push.

12.7mm
12.7 drops another match after losing to MT and now has to face a re-energized AD squad this Sunday, that matchup doesn’t look promising for them. One positive, though, is seeing Backs stick around past roster lock to continue helping the team. His sniper role is something this squad desperately needs, especially to soften up targets and create opportunities for the rest of the team to focus fire.
At the moment, things aren’t looking great for 12.7 as the league’s only winless squad, but maybe there’s still time to turn things around. Hopefully they can grab a few wins soon and build some momentum and confidence heading into the rest of the season.

Ouroborus
Once viewed as one of the more promising squads in the league, OBROS takes the biggest tumble in the rankings this week. The roster still has talent, but losing Mountain while expected, was a massive blow to the team. His departure seemed to trigger a chain reaction with a few others leaving shortly after, and for a moment it looked like the squad might completely fall apart.
Against WH, OBROS struggled with attendance issues, although the late game time likely played a role. Even so, they managed to show enough players, but in the end, it didn’t matter much since the match was later ruled a forfeit anyway.
In response to a few people leaving, Trax and Mark went on a recruiting spree, bringing in veterans Mystery and Ice to help stabilize the roster. A few other names briefly appeared on the log as well, though it seems they were removed before roster lock. Mystery and Ice are capable players and should be able to help out. Will we see a (pre) season Ice?
At 2-3, there’s still enough talent here for OBROS to turn things around and string together some wins, but this weekend probably won’t be the time for it. Their next matchup comes against BR, which is about as tough a challenge as you can ask for right now.
