How this is ranked

Ranked by series wins, then point differential across every game. Games between the same two teams in the same round are one series, and the team that wins most of them takes the series. Points, and the Games column, count every game. The Draft column shows each team’s draft grade; ▲ or ▼ means the team is placed that many spots higher or lower than its draft ranked.

Previews & recaps

PreviewWe The People vs Addicts on The Spectrum: Best-of-3 Opens Thursday

We The People and Addicts on The Spectrum both open their season in this best-of-3 in Kevin's Draft Event, and neither has a game on the books. The first to two wins takes the series. All three games are on Thursday, October 15 Eastern: Game 1 at 10:45 PM, Game 2 at 11:10 PM and Game 3, if needed, at 11:35 PM. With starts only 25 minutes apart, there is little time to regroup between games.

For We The People, God is the name to start with. The first overall pick has 12.3 kills per game and a 3.51 K/D across 150 league games. Captain P is also worth watching, with 7.6 kills per game and a 1.71 K/D over a career, and 10.3 kills per game in Season 56. Medic hvk heals 2,407 per game and also averages 3.7 kills, so he gives this side both support and a bit of damage.

For Addicts on The Spectrum, the medic room stands out. i heals 2,788 per game and carries a 1.62 K/D with 4.6 kills per game. chica heals 2,711 per game, and her 3,560 in Season 56 was even higher. On the kill side, tg averages 10 kills per game with a 2.42 K/D, and Shasta brings 9.5 per game with a 2.73 K/D.

The key question is whether top-end firepower or medic depth matters more over three quick games. We The People lean heavily on Marines and list only one medic by usual class, hvk. Addicts on The Spectrum list four, and the Marines K (9.6 kills per game) and tg give them damage as well. We The People will need God and P to carry the kill column, and hvk will have to keep the healing steady. Addicts on The Spectrum need to use their medic depth to stay alive and let their top Marines take the fights. Both rosters have players with little or no league history, such as MIGHTS and Shock for We The People and XaMiTz for Addicts on The Spectrum, so there is some unknown on each side.

Prediction: I lean Addicts on The Spectrum to win the series, but it is a light lean based only on the rosters, since no games have been played. Their healing depth and several 9-plus kill Marines look a little better suited to three games in under an hour. If God gets rolling early, We The People can easily make me wrong.

PreviewFree Will vs Involuntary Service: Best-of-3 Opens Wednesday Night

Kevin's Draft Event, Week 1 is underway, and Free Will and Involuntary Service have no games behind them. The season is just getting started, so there's no form to lean on. This is a best-of-3 played in one night: Game 1 at 10:45 PM Eastern on Wednesday, October 14, Game 2 at 11:10 PM, and Game 3 at 11:35 PM if the series is split. First to two wins takes it, and the series is 0-0.

For Free Will, Sabotage brings 9.3 kills per game and a 1.58 K/D over 87 league games, and he finished Season 56 at a 2.09 K/D. somera averaged 9.4 kills per game in Season 56 across 9 games. At medic, Su1c1der has 2,680 healing per game for his career and 3,836 in Season 56. FlyMolo captains with 4 championships behind him, and G has 9.

For Involuntary Service, Colossal is the headline. He averaged 15.9 kills per game at a 3.46 K/D in Season 56. Aska put up 12 kills per game that season and has 16 championships. Captain Slash averages 10.8 kills per game with a 2.92 K/D, though over only 16 league games. bonds anchors the medics with 2,802 healing per game across 69 games.

The key is how each side's top end holds up. Involuntary Service has three players who regularly push double-digit kills, plus a stronger medic group, with bonds and Tyson both above 1,800 healing per game. Free Will has plenty of Marines with solid career K/Ds and a lot of title experience, but its healing leans on Su1c1der and kal, who sit at 2,680 and 2,662 per game. If Free Will can keep those two alive and win the early fights, its depth can make this a real series. If Involuntary Service gets Colossal and Aska rolling in Game 1, Free Will will be chasing from the start.

Prediction: I'm giving Involuntary Service a light lean, based on the rosters alone. The kill power of Colossal, Aska and Slash plus the deeper medic bench is the reason. It's a pick, not a promise, and with no games played yet, a quick Game 1 could change the picture.

How the draft league works

Quick guide
How the draft league works
  1. Sign up on the draft hub while signups are open.
  2. Captains draft teams in the draft room, taking turns in a set order. Signed-in players can watch it live.
  3. The league then plays a schedule of games. Each game has a date and time (Eastern).
  4. Teams are ranked on the standings page as the season goes.
Playing your games
  • Play on the scheduled night, on the Mix server, with your drafted teammates against the other team.
  • Results are recorded automatically from the game, so there is nothing to submit. It can take a few minutes; if a result still looks missing later, tell a staff member.
  • Some rounds are a series (a best of 3, for example). The team that wins most of the games takes the series.
Reading the standings
  • Teams are ranked by series won, then by point difference. Points are kills.
  • Form shows the last five results, oldest first. Picks shows how a team's picks have played compared with where they were taken: above zero means they are doing better than their draft slot.
  • The Draft column shows each team's draft grade, and a small arrow shows whether the team is ranked above or below its grade.
  • Tap a finished game to see its full stats.
More than one draft?
  • The tabs at the top switch between drafts. Each tab shows whether that draft is taking signups, being played or finished.
  • Signing up for a new draft does not change anything about a draft already under way.
  • All drafts, including finished ones, are on the Draft history page.
