No surprises. No timely pushes. Why would anyone push when they see the other team shifting in defense? Just even more camping to be honest.
You guys are smoking crack if you think it would make matches better
I don't understand why you're so quick to write it off without even trying it. Nobody gets surprised anymore unless they are doing some cheese ambush (one time). And I don't know what you're talking about with timely pushes, if anything you'll need to be more timely. Nobody will see where exactly the team is, it's up to the spectator.. it may force a squad to flank/move more timely before the person in spec can relay information.

Looking for a squad to test it out on Sunday before matches in a practice scrim. I want to lead from spec and use my squad as chess pieces.

I hope a squad volunteers for this because I'd like to see it. I'll even record and write a report if this happens.

Yeah anyone wanna try it sunday?
Also have we ever thought about showing enemy hp? Mizz can do this for sure. Every other decent game in the world shows enemy hp. I know Sov wouldn't like this idea either but... I think it's worth a shot.

Not seeing HP and not having spec info is what adds to what little strategy this game requires. I feel like both of those ideas would completely dumb the game down. I'm all for switching things up to try and change the pace but I feel like these ideas would be the wrong approach.
Spec info: Not knowing where the enemy is makes you choose your battles wisely. So what if things get drawn out? If that's what one squad chooses to do then they will play to that strength. It's up to one of the squads to figure out the best approach to win that battle. Know the maps and get familiar with how squads setup their plays.
Seeing HP: Everyone in this game should be able to count bullets at this point. It's not a very hard concept and adds to the strategy of the game. I know there are some people who would rather not have to put thought into the game but if we take that out then what do we have left?

Spec Info became pretty pivotal for IFL/CTFPL immediately.
- Call out enemies low on energy
- Call out blink sets
- Call out swings
- Call out subs and their classes
- Call out flanks
- Call out base switches
CTF gameplay evolved with this information. You can't compete without 11+ play ...
This. Stop trying to pretend like USL is anything but a baby zone with 3 buttons for players that can't handle advanced mechanics and concepts.
Spec info is not needed. Get gud.

Another amazing idea from Apollo and Jordan. Let's start force scheduling people during the weekdays on a whim, too.
Couple of morons.

If spec info was legal I would literally run around the whole map against tough squads and have it go 0-0... If someone told me exactly where the enemy was I can run around forever...

I feel like right now, we're in a pretty good spot as far as competition goes. Any of the top 4 squads could take it this season. Let's not try to fix what isn't broken.

This.
The squad with the advantage can run away for a while. Eventually the squad that needs the confrontation will be forced to make a mistake and be put further at disadvantage.

Right, until those squads dissolve and everyone stacks on 1-2 squads again next season.
I just don't see the downside of seeing HP. It's not like AR always does the same damage. Can very by 3-4 depending on if it's outer or inner, every other competitive game you can see the HP of the enemy. I don't think that dumbs down the game at all, I think it adds an extra layer and a new strategy of who to push. And also lag, there's a ton of times you can hit a guy 9 times with AR and he runs away seemingly with half hp.

No. Spec info is for CTFPL. You have 3 buttons here. Use them and shut up.

I mean... we've gone 20 years without seeing HP...
That's a pretty big change for any zone imo.
I've always enjoyed the fog of war Skirmish has had. Giving vision/spec info just seems like a complete change to what Skirmish is and has been.
So FWIW, I'd vote no on both. I guess if enough people want it though, then whatever.

This might be the one time I agree with everything one person has said, but emp has hit every aspect of whats bad about allowing spec info in this post.

What are your thoughts on seeing HP eric?
Every other game in the world allows it.
Spec info, I get the push back. HP I don't.
