How opposed to switching gametypes are most of you? I have some fairly neat ideas that would pretty much nullify any concerns of camping and what not.
Essentially a demolition/search and destroy style gametype (similar to CoD)
Best of 5 rounds, each round teams alternate between offense & defense. Single bomb site, and single death elimination per round. 4-5 minute rounds.
To make it not feel entirely like just flagging, Offense would spawn with a bomb near their starting point that they would also actually have to carry to the bombsite to arm it.

not all the zones were "safe" you're essentially picking up object and carrying it back to a location while one team defended.

That being said, It might make for interesting gameplay if it was S&D style .. 1 team has to get an objective while the other defended... 1 life per person and multiple rounds like counterstrike.

Would be interesting to try and incorporate it into the season but keep the traditional TDM game type too. You could either rotate the game types weekly and do double length seasons so you play each squad on different game types OR make it so home team gets to choose game type/coin toss for the game type.

Actually working on a new multi-script that incorporates voting for not only maps, but gametypes aswell. So switching between them all would be a breeze for matches.

The Searxh & Destroy team gets a Sapper Demo Pack - 1 for the whole team - increase the fuse length - they have to blow up something with it. Other team has to defend obviously.

if Kaiser Pass is going to be used in this season of USL that puts us at 5 maps. with 6 squads we could do a single or double round season with every map.
Week 1: KR
Week 2: EC
Week 3: KP
Week 4: Bomb's
Week 5: Apollo
just an example. home team would pick side. in playoffs home team picks the map and side and champ match it's dueled for or something.

as far as the gametypes go I think we should get them implemented and have squads SB with them during the season if they want but wait until next season on a decision. I feel like it's too close to the season to implement something like that.

I still haven't really figured out how I'm going to add that feature to the website yet. Not because I don't know how to. But because I would have to reconfigure a lot of shit to make it work.

Just do the coinflips before season even starts... Set a day (FRIDAY 8PM EST WILL BE THE LIVE COINFLIPS TO DETERMINE HOME FIELD FOR REGULAR SEASON) Then you go live on twitch, or whereever you want... where people can go watch. Now you start it...
First game... Squad A vs Squad B... Put both names in the online random generator, (everyone is watching)... Hit generate or run drawing... Itll show the winner.. done... and next match... so on and so fourth. Much easier and it provides transparency when doing the drawing. ANd you do it in ONE shot, one live event... itll take you 5 mins to draw them live with the community watching.

It's not that simple. Right now in order to put in a schedule you have to put 1 squad in as home and 1 as away but the coin flips are going to be done at the time of the match I'm assuming.
Putting in a dummy schedule and then having to change it would be tedious because it would need to be updated in multiple places, not just the schedule page.

That's the issue. You either wait to put the schedule in until after the matches are done or idk
