You said USL Is killing this game, but you not disabling events in USL aren't killing it. Said you don't give a fuck about USL why keep you on Snakes since I asked them for you to join. We can play this game. IDGAF

The game devs and the league staff need to work hand in hand, since even on the last days of SOE it was dead as fuck aside from leagues.

The league won't survive without the game itself, but on the flip side .. the game was dead as fuck and will be dead as fuck without the league and the aspect of competition. I know I wouldn't play this game just for pub play, I don't know about the rest of you.

It's sad that the two sides cannot work together and it ended with hellspawn ultimately being removed from the league (or my squad, which I didn't consent to btw). Jovan said we need to work it out ourselves, but realistically I don't think we can do that. Someone such as Mizz or Jovan need to put down a solid rule and say - you can do x with the game, but please don't touch zones with [League] in front of them, as they are governed by the league. Which includes using any sort of mod powers. If I recall I don't think SOE mods were allowed to use powers in league zones.

Either way, I hope dp, mizz, jovan and whoever else has any sort of say can establish rules so this doesn't happen in the future. Hellspawn has good intentions and he puts a lot of work into bettering the game, do I disagree with some of his ideas? Absolutely. But there are better ways for both the league and the devs to handle this and work together.

As a long-time CTFPL ref, I can verify that SOE mods were not allowed to use their powers in [League] zones.

A mod would never be allowed to disable any sort of league content.

Usually only the H.Mod and select few SMods had powered aliases in league zones.

We were powered in league zones but we weren't allowed to moderate it or interfere with any league business. Things we were allowed to do were check the *reportlistall, check station ID logs and such, ban other players from other zones if a t-mod/mod needed help. We could only ever ban in league zones for outright blatant hacking/scripting. Mods weren't even allowed to moderate racism in league zones.

Yeah wasn't many, Demote/Beso in PL, Fausto/Jassy/Bowen, myself in USL/SL, Allustrious in IGBL and Mode in Soccer Brawl. I think MP/Hung kept it to a minimum so league admins didn't feel we were overstepping. I know around the time I retired from staff they were in the process of depowering everyone from league zones because Drift and Armor didn't feel the need for non-league staff to be powered in the zones.
