So play for a decent captain who wont sell out for a win. Why punish killer and other free agents for some shit that Backs and Palm pulled?

If anything, the league needs to be more selective on captains.

How is it punishing killer? He had over two months to join a squad before the season started. He is still able to join a squad, he just has to serve the wait period.

Picking and choosing who can captain, who can join late, who's not going to abuse...those are all vague solutions to a nonexistant problem. It's deregulating perfectly functional rules that have prevented further abuse. Just plan better and join a squad on time. Still has most of the season to play.

It's absolutely punishing killer for no reason, he just came back and should be able to join a squad without having to wait.

They aren't perfectly functional is the problem. People who join mid season are not able to play in games, anytime we restrict people from signing in and playing it's an issue.

2.6 Players cannot re-join their previous squad(s) after joining a different squad at any point during the season. Off-season moves can be made freely until the season officially begins (the first scheduled match is played). This also includes joining a new squad on a different alias. (Example: Going from squad A to squad B and then squad B to squad C means you cannot re-join either squad A or squad B.)

This loaner issue was pretty much solved with this. Under my rule, this "loaner" would have to start the season squadless, join a squad to help them one week, and then join another squad. Which would not be a loaner at all that'd just be someone playing on two different squads.

It should be left up to the discretion of the captains during the week if they want to waive the ineligibility of a person to allow them to play

BB that's also against the rules right now. Even if octavian agreed last week killer would have been stuck in spec unless we had under 8 people online.

We get that it's against the rules, but what is the harm in someone not caring if someone plays if they are on the squad. I get it some people abuse it but we are all (hopefully) capable of knowing who is trolling and who is serious. I am pretty sure everyone knew killer was on SN and was not going to squad hop, so if oct and backs said they didn't care i don't see the harm in letting killer play in that match.

But that's skirting the rules that everyone is so strict with all of the sudden is my point. With my proposed rule it'd just be legal. Again loaners were already dealt with in 2.6 this is for squadless players who want to play.

Rules should be uniformly and objectively applied to everyone as fair as possible. I hate scenarios of picking and choosing. It leads to special treatment for some players.
