If Bran also becomes King in the books hopefully he has an actual story arc to provide justification.

Only person playing the long game is GRRM. Treated D&D like mushrooms feed em shit and keep them in the dark, then publishes the last 2 books with a complete coherent story and looks like a hero.

Cersei and Jaime could have just stood a few feet to the left and lived. If they really wanted to make it seem like there was no escape then they did a terrible job of portraying it in the scene with Tyrion finding them. And they looked really good for people who just got crushed by a roof and tons of bricks.

Don't worry I won my GoT fantasy league. Bran first round pick finally paid dividends.

Bran the Broken...
Mr. I can't be lord of Winterfell because I'm the robotic 3 Eye Raven, but it's okay for me to be King
Long last name. He needs to shorten it.

Basically rehashes Jon's "I don't want to be king" and then says he was always meant to be.
Lets Dany burn an entire city of innocents to the ground just so he can take the throne. Was the Night King the good guy all along?

Final episode wasn't terrible imo
It kind of reminded me a little of Hunger Games though. Jon is Katniss. He helps the "resistance" defeat President Snow (Cersei) only for the woman leading the resistance (Daenerys) to go power hungry and take extraordinary measures to win the war.
Then of course it had a sort of LOTR epilogue moment that GRRM/D&D had been hinting at for several years. Wasn't terrible... just some weird choices...
Why didn't Yara declare independence?
Why is there still a Night's Watch?
Has no one really sailed to the west of Westeros?
Grey Worm left for Naath... so who is forcing Jon to be in the Night's Watch? Just Yara now?
I could go on of course.
Seasons 1-4 were so amazing
I enjoyed seasons 5 & 6 a lot
Seasons 7 & 8 definitely got a little sloppy or whatever you want to call it
Over all, still a solid TV show. Would've been nicer had they finished on a high note. But you don't always get what you want.

Then of co ...
They left for Naath. A place where the butterfly disease kills all outsiders. Or did they just forget that?
Suddenly Arya is a sailor? Did the last however many years trying to get back by your family's side just not matter?

The ending made me think jon was now turning into the new king beyond the wall. theres no reason for the watch to go out anymore and they closed the gates behind him and Tormund and all the wildlings that were left at castle black.
Arya sailing away from family definitely didn't make any sense. like chris said.
Where the fuck was dorne during the war or anything past the sand snakes?! Just to randomly show up again? Same with the fuckin tully's.
I did like seeing bronn be the master of coin but that was about it.
the whole line of "why do you think I traveled all this way" irritated me Same with tyrions "whose got a better story"
I understand greyworm going to naath because it was the last thing him and missandei talked about doing before the battle at winterfell. But agreed about the disease.

A better ending would of been John snow waking up in his apartment that he just bought for 5.6 million and the whole entire gay ass GOT series was a dream he had. And then it fades to black with words on the screen “y’all bitches got GOT” hahahahahahhahaahahhahahahahahahahahhahahahahhahahahahahhahahahahhahaha

Add Arya to the list of character flops imo
Daenerys spends 7.5 seasons liberating people and trying to protect the innocent... and don't get me wrong. I know there were hints that she was having to stop herself from going nuclear... but it was poorly executed.
Jaime spends like Season until Season 8 trying to redeem himself... he killed the Mad King to save KL and was forever branded as the Kingslayer. Ultimately D&D made him a heroin addict who couldn't quit Cersei.
Arya spends years trying to get revenge and trains to achieve her goals. Then she realizes that's not who or what she is. She wants to go back to her family... psych! now that war is over I'm sailing to unknown lands!

Dany's death was justified but stupid. One of the most important characters in the show from the beginning and everyone moved on from her death so quickly. Myrcella got a bigger send off than Dany did.

AND WTF HAPPENED TO THE AZHOR AHAI PROPHECY? CERSEIS PROPHECY? this ending... looks like it should've been reversed. the death of dany and cersei should've been episode 3, jon or Jaime(in this instance Jon, fulfills the prophecy and goes to fight the nightking with lightbringer)
THAT WOULDA MADE MORE SENSE THEN THIS NONSENSE.

D&D: Yeah we kind of forgot that the prophecies existed and were a big part of the early story line.
