Week 1: Sunday, June 9th - KS10
Week 2: Sunday, June 16th - Apollo
Week 3: Sunday, June 23rd - EC
Week 4: Sunday, June 30th - KR (Champ)
Week 5: Sunday, July 14th - KS10
Week 6: Sunday, July 21st - Apollo
Week 7: Sunday, July 28th - EC

Semi-Finals: Sunday, August 4th - KR (Champ)
Championship: Sunday, August 4th - KS10

In deciding the schedule, we became aware we'd probably only have 5 squads, so we were debating how to approach the season like this. We decided to try something different to minimize bye weeks and try to get every squad playing every Sunday. This means a double header for a squad each week except the first week, and one squad would play a double header twice. Unfortunately one squad does have to have a bye week, since 7 weeks at 3 matches a weekend equals 21 matches, and we only have 20 matches to play. And we did decide on a double round robin since doing it this way only adds 2 weeks to the length of the season.

We've chosen the map rotation specifically to avoid Apollo and EC for the Playoffs. They were the Playoff maps the last two seasons. And I want to say EC was the Playoff map by itself the season before that.

does this mean some games will be scheduled “early” and some “late”
Like going into the next day late.

Matches should still be occurring at the regular times for the most part:

9:30 PM
10:15 PM
11:00 PM

Of course squads are free to use the other time slots if they agree to it.

Our one worry that was brought up in trying this approach is the squad playing the double header will obviously not want to play a 9pm and then a 11pm match or what have you. We're going to try to accommodate squads if they have the double header. But it will be dependent on the ref availability of course.

Yessir.

Someone had to be it. Nothing personal, I swear.

When I originally made it in Excel just for planning purposes, it was actually Backs' squad on the off chance he got to 8/9 players, I figured giving him the Week 1 bye might help him some more in getting to 12/13 players. Then when you came out of nowhere, I just swapped you. (Edit: that's also why the bye week for the unlucky squad was Week 1, maybe I should've changed it. My apologies.)

isnt there a way to avoid byes mathematically

Not without exceeding 3 matches a night.

If we did a single round robin: 2 nights with 3-matches, 1 night with 4-matches. That would just be a 3 week season then though. Double each of those for a double round robin. But then that means two nights with 4-matches. Which would get complicated in my opinion trying to coordinate that due to so many squads playing multiple times each night. Reffing and match times would be at a premium.

Schedule is in the process of being remade.

Captains please register for the season again in the Manage Squad page. We cannot make the schedule until each squad registers.
