Backs / Sniper is being suspended from playing in Season 19 - all of S19. The reason for this was he was providing spec info during the playoff match between Bran the Broken & FU. Actions like using spec info can really ruin a key aspect of USL. They can take away the challenge for the one squad who receives it, and they can ruin the other squad's strategy or game plan.

Backs was also warned after his suspension earlier this season he would face a full season ban after his next rule breaking. The Game Admins did help us in determining who was the player trying to provide spec info during the match. We did not come to this decision hastily or without evidence.

Any squad found trying to recruit Backs onto their squad or use him as an NT risk facing punishment. This will be determined when and if it happens. And if Backs successfully sneaks into a squad or a match, he runs the risk of resetting and extending his punishment.

7.9 SPEC INFO: Spectator information will not be tolerated. Spectator information is any information given to a playing squad by a non-playing person regarding opposing team location, heading, or any details regarding the match. If a squad is proven of using spec info, or not reporting spec info to the Referee or Staff, the squad will be removed from the rest of the season. The offending squad Captain will no longer be allowed to captain a squad in the league. Excessive proof is recommended.

So BTB didn’t use the spec info they are claiming. I have proof they did use it. If I have proof they used it then follow the rules and take down Eric and DQ BTB. Right? Yes or no? Read your rules.

Unless your proof shows a BTB player giving the spec info, it's a moot point. BTB acting on unsolicited spec info from a 3rd party is not something we can hold against them. While they could have chosen to go across the map and give FU the option to reset, that is not something they are forced to do.

Backs I think you should stop going down this road. Because if you are right and they do deserve to be punished and end up being punished. The team you formed and you claim to love and appreciate would be guilty of the same thing.

This is really excessive and honestly, will only hurt the league next season. Hate him or love him, Backs deserves recognition for the countless times he has supported this league through his contributions of creating squads for the squad-less. No one would burden themselves to do this but Backs. Next season will hurt a segment of our players when no one wants to create and captain a "bad" squad. While he has had his mistakes, let's not look past his positive attributes and let's reconsider the duration of this ban. A player like Backs deserves it. I trust that our admin and co. will ponder upon this and do the right thing: reduce the length of his ban.

We can't keep using the excuse of having a low population and how it will hurt the league. All that does is tell repeat offenders that it's OK to keep breaking the rules. At some point you need to put your foot down and say enough is enough.

No one is discrediting Backs ability to bring in a squad and help the league but should that make him exempt from the rules? I don't think so. It's not an easy decision to ban anyone in a game with this kind of population. It doesn't happen very often, if at all. But it's also not fair to all the other members of the community who just want to play the game and not deal with the drama. The ban will stand for the remainder of the season and he will be on a very short leash going forward.

That's what makes this even more egregious like how many times does a fuck up need to be a fuckup to get banned from a league that has barely over 50 active members.
