Tentative CTFDL Important Dates:
Registration will close Sunday August 11th at 11:59pm ET.
Sunday August 18, 10:00pm ET, live CTFDL Draft w/ commentary
Sunday August 25, first round of matches
Sunday September 1, second round of matches (may get pushed back a week due to labor day holiday in the USA)
Sunday September 8, third round of matches (if needed, pending on # of teams and playoffs structure)
CTFDL Rules (subject to change):
-All participants must register (registration link below).
-Number of Teams and Captains, schedules, brackets, and playoff structures will be decided once registrations and number of participants is confirmed.
-Discord (CTF Server) will be required (excluding the use of mics) to participate.
-Once you are registered, you can be selected by any captain at any point in the draft. If you refuse to participate on a team, you were picked on, or you intentionally throw/troll, or your refuse to cooperate with your team or team captain, you will be ineligible from participating in future CTFDLs. Additionally, if you register for CTFDL, you are expected to exhibit due diligence with your participation, attendance, effort, teamwork, and communication.
-ALL players that register will be picked to a team. Picking will continue until all registered players have been selected. Therefore, many new players, new CTF players, or new to organized play players will be spread out across all teams. It does not benefit new players to auto-bench them or refuse to allow them the opportunity to play/contribute. Additionally, it DOES help new players when seasoned players work with them, help them, teach them, and mentor them.
-If you are a newer player, or, not accustomed to CTFPL or organized CTF play, it is expected that you are a good team player, willing to learn, open to feedback, and willing to communicate with your team.
-Team Captains are expected to: Be active, be fair, have a firm understanding of organized 10v10 CTF matches, lead their team, have a firm understanding of team composition and player abilities, be able to draft a competitive team, treat all players with respect.
-Team Captains must appoint two co-captains after their team is drafted and notify CTFDL staff. Co-captains will be held to the same standard as Team Captains.
-Substitute players (or “NTs”) are allowed. No more than 2 NTs can be used by a team per match. NT player selections will be drafted snake style (ex: 1-2-1 if both teams are using 2 NTs). “Home” team or higher seeded team gets first NT pick. A NT player cannot be on another CTFDL team. If an NT player refuses to play on a team, they will be ineligible to NT for the remainder of the -CTFDL season. A player may not NT for more than one team per week. NT players may only be used if there are not enough team players online and available (ie: you cannot use an NT player to replace a lesser experienced player on your team).
-CTFDL matches will start with a maximum of 150 tox, 150 tso, and 50 pandora’s element.
-CTFDL matches must start within 15 minutes of their scheduled time.
-CTFDL matches will be scheduled on Sundays between the hours of 8:00pm ET and 11:00pm ET. CTFDL staff will work with CTFDL captains to assist with scheduling.
-CTFDL matches must be scheduled at least 60 minutes apart, to maximize attendance and opportunities to spectate.
-Additional rules/procedures will be added.
