Hey everyone,
Please familiarize yourself with the completely rewritten Section 9 in the rules for base lines. Also, 8v8 has been returned as the minimum team size for play due to the influx of players.

I have received feedback from multiple sources over the last several weeks and one thing I can say for sure: Base lines are the most polarizing topic I've seen since my time as Admin began. Everyone, and I mean, EVERYONE has different opinions and beliefs that they feel strongly about. My job with scenarios like this is to try to find something in the middle. There's two main opinions that are prevalent in the community, with some other adjustments kind of sprinkled in.

One opinion is that base lines should just go away. They are a pain to enforce and are easily manipulated. If a squad can't get out of their base well...should probably practice more, but higher tier squads will usually let them out just so they can feed on the kills more. This also leads to the possibility of teams camping much closer to their base without any repercussion.

Another opinion is that base lines should be enforced across the board, but at no point should teams be allowed to cross into their own base lines. The rules have been pretty similar to this for a long time, but one thing that stands out is lower tier teams especially will end up having a few guys just stuck outside of their base line and pinned their until their death...and the battle just stagnates after that. We've also seem common issues of players accidentally crossing into their lines. This fixes some of the camping issues, but seems to lead to squads being unable to regroup well after a slow wipe.

With these thoughts in mind, I have rewritten section 9 entirely in a new format, somewhat harkening back to the MSL days of old with inactive zones. Base lines now will allow people to cross into them freely from either side, but movement and camping through them will be enforced on a much more strict policy. This may require some adjustments to base line sizes (looking at you KS10 and Titan KR)

Again, please make sure to familiarize yourself with Section 9 in the rules entirely.

Thanks
