What does that even mean? We had way less players then and the roster cap was 12-13 in season 1. With the larger player base 15 is more than acceptable.

It played a big part in it Jeff. And face kicking two people would have allowed those two to join another squad that needed help. Now they are just going to sit on the bench.

Roster cap season 1 was either 14 or 15. There are 14 people on the roster for idc championship award.

Because we had a bench/retired list in season 1.

Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, we had a bench yes, not retired, and the bench was 2 players and most squads used their bench every game so it was done away with and rosters were changed from 13 active 2 bench to 15 active. Saying there was a separate list for bench even though they were used every game doesn't change the fact that roster limit has been 15 every season.

Fact of the matter is this: If we lower the roster cap we're only forcing people to join squads that they don't want to play on which inevitably leads to people becoming inactive and losing interest in the game. In a game where we need all the players we can get that is regression. If you seriously think a roster cap will fix "stacking" or somehow magically get people to join your squad or a lower tier squad then you haven't played this game long enough.

Season 1 was pretty fun because I managed to pull out a win somehow. Champ and Sov weren't going to stay on Hentai even if the roster limit was still 13. They both left before the roster limit was increased if I remember correctly. It's an inactive squad that doesn't SB with inactive leadership. If Hentai wants to keep anyone around in the future, they should probably start SBing. As for the tough decision of who to kick if I really wanted to keep those two scumbags around, I could kick Kiediss who didn't show for the last half of the season and hasn't showed for playoffs for the last 10 seasons or Noire who wasn't active at all last season. I think both of those guys enjoy playing with us when they happen to be on (maybe not Gabe...), but I'd put money that they wouldn't be too active for another squad either.

I don't see decreasing the limit by one or two players doing anything for the league. If we're interested in trying to balance the league as much as we can, a draft league is what you want. But moving to a draft league would probably reduce the overall population because, despite players moving around more than they used to, players will still end up on a team with someone they don't want to play with, or they won't like their team for some other reason.

If needed, I will be more than happy to captain 2-3 squads this season. I will in turn pay the co caps a monthly bonus for assisting in managing it. Anything I can do, as the reigning league MVP to continue the tradition and this league motivated.

I don't think a roster cap will fix stacking, but hopefully it lowers the activity of that squad so they can't have their cake and eat it too.

All i did was point out that raising the roster limit did nothing but help out a squad that didn't need help, am I wrong or no? Who else did it help?

You can stack a squad with 12,13,14 or 15 players it doesn't matter the cap. The fact that the "players who aren't going to start" still stick around tells you that the roster cap wouldn't work. They chose who they wanted to play with and they stuck with it.

You can yes, but having the roster limit lets the other 2-3 players join other squads instead of benching. How are you not getting that?

It was voted in to be 13, khaleesi wanted 13, you literally shit on all of that and kept it at 15. Now it went from 8 squads with a 13 roster limit to basically 6 squads. How many gold stars do you want?
