I think this is going to be an excellent game to kickoff the new season. While there does appear to be a strong favorite going in, I think the outcome of this match will be a good barometer of how both of these teams will fair as the season continues. It is clear, the result will either cement the top-tier squads for Season 6, or show just how open this field really is at the moment.
Projected Starters:
Infantry and Chill: Albert, Chaos Blade, God, Kay Double-U, Killer, Lyric, R, Victim
Alternates: Jane, Z, Draco
Bronzie Bears: Kippa, Bmei, em4, ER, manu, Pandy, Shasta, Storm
Alternates: SE, Uni, n0b kilza
Prediction:
Inf and Chill is more or less the same Tank we've seen for three seasons now minus a few players here and there. You've got average to slightly above average marines with guys like Killer, Chaos Blade, KW and Albert, paired up with average to above average medics in Victim and Jane. But last season they were the dark horse favorites to make playoffs - not because they out-talent their opponents - but because they outwork their opponents. No team scrimmages more than Inf and Chill - they practice almost nightly - and while the improvement can be slow, it is steady all the same. Tank can be formidable when they are all on the same page, all pistons firing in unison.
Bronzie Bears is Sugar Skulls is System Error. Just like Tank, basically the same mix of the same guys we've seen before, only rather than being average to above average players, several of them would qualify as potential starters for an all-league MVP team, and the rest are quality in their own right. Kippa is probably the best medic in the game, particularly when you factor in his KVQ-quality medic leadership. Combining his efforts with manu, Bronzie Bears will rarely be caught without a heal. Stack that with marines like ER, Ninj and Pandy and you have the makings of a championship contender.
I predict Bronzie Bears will go all the way to the finals this season, but will not succeed in taking the Championship. However, I think they win this game handily.... 72-32 Bronzie Bears: MVP is kippa.
