I just wonder is all forgiven with Baker Mayfield for planting that flag at Ohio State now? I think Rosen (if he can stay healthy) and Jackson will be the 2 best QBs outta this draft.

FWIW Ohio people especially those from Cleveland area have undying loyalty to their teams. Was funny how quickly they went from hating LeBron to loving him again. Can’t wait to see how much they hate him again this summer. I just envision Rob Schneider from the Waterboy... “Oh no! We suck again! ...
Lol they probably won't hate him cause he or should i say the team won Cleveland a championship so all forgiven Lol.

Given the Browns and Jets track record drafting QBs. They’d take a long term QB that was serviceable at the very least and has the potential to be above average in terms of production

Hey. Just wanted to say this.

FUCK ROSEN & MAYFIELD.

Lol.

i have no issue w/ mayfield - the flag thing was silly, but that has no regard on my opinion of him

my issue is he played in the spread offense at oklahoma and i don't trust any qb coming from a spread offense - way more failures then success stories and the reason that a lot of people avoid those silly b12 qbs who put up ridiculous numbers while having 5 receivers on the field at all times

mayfield may have gotten some non spread in (i couldn't tell if it was a mix) but it looked predominantly spread from the three oklahoma games i saw

i'm also biased against b12 qbs in general - is there even a good starting b12 qb in the nfl? Bradford could be good if he wasn't injured 24/7 but i can't think of anyone else off the top of my head

edit> i looked it up, the b12's claim to fame from a qb stand point is currently bradford and andy dalton .. unless i missed someone. not an impressive track record.

He wasn’t just in a B12 offense it was that Texas Tech air raid that has never translated well to the NFL. Sure Mayfield has tools to be successful but I think it’s more likely he doesn’t transition well.

true - i actually hope baker does good - would be nice to see someone new dominate that division and not the steelers ever year
bengals renewed marvin lewis so we can just assume they'll be 9-7 at best ever year for the next 5 years

He played in the most pro style offense ( Petrine ) of any QB drafted. He can throw it all over the field and run when needed. He needs to develop a year but I think he is in terms of college to pro the one that was best prepared in college and has the highest ceiling simply because of his athleticism

His accuracy kind of sucked, but there's no way he's as bad as flacco

My issue is I don't want my QB to first thought run which I feel like Jackson might lean towards doing. Big difference in being hit by college kids compared to big NFL players week in and week out. Obviously it works for some players (Wilson/Newton/etc) but I'd just be worried he's one hit from getting hurt doing something a running back should be doing most the time anyway. He def has potential but is he more vince young or the aforementioned players.

I mean he's pretty good in the pocket too, if he learns to slide he'll be good. has to be russel not rg3

He was a one man team. Put the line and skill players that were at USC Oklahoma or even UCLA around him and he’d have had time and players to help him and had time to throw from the pocket rather than running for his life.

This 100 his biggest thing is in college he finished runs. He will need to learn to slide and save his body rather than take unnecessary shots from pro LBs and Safeties

J Allen will probably be the only one of these guys with at least 10 wins by the time they retire
