It's not required to use the arena chat. It is something that can be done though.

At the same time it's kind of hard to forget that you've been sitting in one spot (behind your own rape lines for that matter) for a while. It seemed to be in protest of 2 players being specced for crossing back into the rape lines prior to that. If you're sitting there camping and not engaged in battle it's pretty hard to miss the chat and that is on the captains. OON had 3 of them in there. No one should be shocked that sitting still in one spot suddenly activates a camp timer at this point in the game.

I'm on Champs side for this one. He gave them ample warning and called camp timer. He then told them he was speccing one in 60 seconds if they didn't move. You guys had multiple people in Captains chat then arguing with him right then and there, so using the excuse that you missed it isn't valid.

I just cannot empathize with you on this one. If you sit in your dropship without moving for 2 minutes while arguing with the administrator and trying to fight and appeal his decisions while ignoring his warnings you deserve to lose a slot.

I'm sorry your captain(s) hurt your squad, but I wouldn't blame anyone on staff for that match.

When is the rematch scheduled for?

I'm shocked because back in SoE it was customary for an *arena message stating the camp timer had been started.

*arena 2 minute warning for OON on turtle timer

We were literally talking about that in squad chat. We were aware it was an issue. But since no one told us, <i>or at least since no one made sure we saw the messages</i>. We were not aware the 2 minute timer had started. We were definitely not aware the 2 minute timer had already expired.

We were down 7v5. Match was getting out of hand. Obviously we were going to spend as little time as possible fighting 7v5. Ref should have made it abundantly clear imo that the turtle timer had begun imo. I will concede Captains should pay attention to the chat. But it's kind of hard when you're down in the middle of a match 7v5 and chaos is ensuing.

<b>Not blaming it for the loss</b>. Just saying it would be nice to know this stuff. *arena commands exist to alert players to match related issues imo. Makes no sense not to use them. Not using it in this case resulted in OON being down 2+ players for like 7-8 minutes. When it could have just been 5 minutes.

Let me just reiterate:

Not blaming us losing on the Refs or Rules.

GG BBB. You beat us fair and square. We had lost the two battles decisively before we started losing players regardless of the rules.

Seems like a fair request to use *arena commands. I think I remember this being used a while back. On the BBB side, I was actually wondering why players on OON got speced, but our captain told us why. That sucks you didn't find out in a timely manner but it is in the rules.

Not taking sides or anything but I can at least understand that you guys were trying to play 7s all game. When 1 person did it the rest should have noticed because I heard more than one person do it.

I say use arena command so the rest of the players that aren't in captains chat know wtf is going on. Half the team didn't know what was going on(was listening). Using the arena chat would prevent any kind of "ref error" excuse.

The ref in charge of the match was reffing their first match. In between helping him out and relaying messages to the captains about their players being specced for crossing back into lines, it did get a little hectic. But I also let OON slide a little because the rule states you cannot camp behind your own rape lines for more than 1 minute and they were behind for 2 minutes and warning was given in captains chat.

If they tell you in cap chat, and your caps don't relate the info to the rest of the squad maybe you need new caps

That's never been an *arena message in the 40 seasons of usl

I'm saying if 2-3 captains are reading the message and not doing anything about it and responding to it in captains chat, but still not doing anything about it an *arena message is irrelevant.

Or you could just have captains who communicate with their squad and tell them wtf is going on. If they arent seeing messages in the ref chat then they dont have the awareness to be a squad capt
