We got some rematches boys, but this time itll be on the big stage, which means the players who get cold feet, weak knees and sweaty palms are about to get exposed! To kick things off this coming weekend we have the rematch between IDC and Apoc. Followed by the rematch of Waduhek vs BBB. Will the outcomes of their previous matches mirror going forward? Or will there be different outcomes this time around.
(1) IDC vs (4)Apoc:
The last time these two played Apoc came out on top with a 38-18 victory over IDC. In this match we saw terrible performances from kaga, tg and cage whom all went 0-5. Those numbers are not your typical stats for those 3 players. On the other side you had shasta and tactical show up big going 9-1 and 9-4 respectively, and nos played a pivotal role in taking on the 1v2's or 2v3's to let his other team over power IDCs.
Now with the maps being reset for playoffs IDC will more than likely defer and apoc will probably choose EC( disclaimer, all matches will prob be on EC this weekend) as it provides the most balanced match up for titan vs colle.
In order for Apoc to win again they'll need to mirror their play and also tighten it up a bit from their last match up vs idc. And in order for IDC to win... bench cage and dave since kaga and tg wont play as bad as they did the last time. Another suggestion.. put kaga in the line up as marine and let fax and manu med, given fax's lag is fixed.
IDC Projected line up
Leak
Kaga
Manu(med)
fax(med)
Fausto
tg
em4awon
Brillhart
Player to watch: Big daddy petty officer first class em4awon. Out of everyone in that line up above he probably has the most playoff experience, and will undoubtedly fix his terrible performance from the last game. If not Leak will have to hard carry, as Leak does no de wae.
Apoc Projected line up:
Shasta
Tactical
noskeeper
Stavudine(med)
Lana Del Rey(med)
Jordan
Apollo
Mizz/Guerrilla
Player to watch: Honestly when watching apoc i'll always say noskeeper is the player to watch. His positioning is on point and he always fights for the angle, and as last match showed he had no issue fighting outnumbered match ups.
Projected outcome: 29-10 Apoc With the back to back victory over IDC, I feel like this one will be more low scoring than their previous match up as it is playoffs. MVP: noskeeper.
(2)Waduhek vs (3)BBB
This past weeks rematch, will most likely be played on EC yet again, this time waduhek will have titan and bbb colle. During the match both teams took some really bad deaths but the one thing I will point out that I believe made a huge difference in their comeback was this.. Whenever Sov was pushing somewhere he always made sure his team was directly on him which caught yosh on an island a few times every time we ran into them.
For waduhek to have a repeat victory they need to not take such bad deaths early on. Sov will also have to slow this game down for certain players that get cold feet in the playoffs, if they let BBB push the tempo and get the lead early I feel as though you see those players like Killer, Palm and Albert get nervous and make mistakes.
On the other hand for BBB to win... we force 7s :D. Not only was there bad positioning or focus fire by just about every player unspecced for BBB there was a lot of hesitation as well or bad calls(see yosh taking a med into the rocks instead of being with typhoon and just collapsing on the east pig team) or in that same fight Cesar hiding behind a rock while me and easoe are calling for a push to pinch them. We lower the numbers we lower the mistakes.
Also having the mountain show up will be an upgrade and another vocal player in the line up. We also need to be more grouped up as I stated above yosh got caught on an island a few fights while we were running around the map looking for each other. To combat sov's grouped push yosh's team needs to be on him.
Waduhek Projected line up:
Sov
Sol
Iron(med)
Jane(med)
Kevin
Killer
Palm/Alb(or both if 8s)
Player to watch: The dark lord Sov himself. WH sov will be initiated right from the get go which means whoever messes up first will be getting an earful for the first 10minutes of the match D: RIP playoff Sol.
BBB Projected line up:
God
Zeus
envy(med)
Manifest Destiny
Water(med)
hack
THE MOUNTAIN
Cesar(if 8s)
Player to watch: God, easoe was the main reason we were up for the majority of the first match, he's going to take a few shoulder days off in preparation for the carrying he may have to do in our rematch.
Projected outcome: I don't believe you see Waduhek win back to back. Sol was already feeling the pressure of playoffs looming and took some really bad deaths in the first match up. You throw in an inconsistent killer, palm and albert in the playoffs.. yikes. So long as BBB doesn't get double dragons y we should be able to press the tempo and come out on top.
32-21 BBB MVP God.
I'll do the champ prediction in a bit, doing this from my phone sucks.
