Crazy idea, obviously not for next season.. but to possibly test. Would it be possible to implement aspects of CTF into Skirmish? By that I mean, each team can customize their roster with things like different Armor and Health to have some "tankiness" but lack in firepower, or give people the option to glass canon, do a lot of damage but be very weak. I would want the SK settings to remain in, but each player starts with x amount of money, they can buy/sell items.. balancing it would be tricky, but it may be possible.
It does change the game, but it also adds a level of strategy. I think it would be cool to see... like maybe there are 3 different types of medics.. 1 that has a basic heal and drops stim packs, 1 that has a weaker heal but that medic can also have more combat stats, or 1 medic that has a large heal but has almost no combat stats.

Almost more like an EOL mix to SK, kind of faydon lake esque when you could use SK guns but get armor(if I remember correctly)

he meant more towards armor upgrades or weapon upgrades but if u upgrade 1 you sacrifice the other.

Word, I just assumed a customized attribute system that also takes away things if you choose to upgrade others. That or like he said just have different variations of each class to choose. Could be interesting, would definitely need to be voted on and tested by the whole community before moving forward on that.

A store/attribute system has always been where Skirmish felt lacking imo
But keep in mind, having those customization options leads to a knowledge gap that can further divide the margin between newbies and vets
But I'd definitely be down for adding some kind of store feature where players customize their character a bit

Medic's should have some options.
1. They can increase their maximum HP <b>or</b> gain some sort of armor that dampens explosive damage.
2. They can increase their maximum energy pool <b>or</b> they gain an energizer every time they respawn that gives them enough energy for another heal.
And I'm sure there are more people can think of, those are just the two I thought of right away.

The ideas are nice and it's good to talk about change but I would caution not trying to change too many things at once and maybe work them in one at a time. That way you don't run into a situation like SL did back in SOE.

Yeah, my hope is that things will be relatively new so it kind of puts everyone on an even playing ground in regards to team customization. Maybe one squad will find something that is "off-meta" that works.

Agreed, I would use this next season coming up to test things on a weekly basis. Maybe we can get 14-16 people as "testers" to squadbattle on a weekly basis to include a summary of what they liked and disliked on a separate test forum/thread.

Ooooh! that would be great to have a spam meta in infantry. I destroyed BB and darth as junkrat 24/7 before the buffs. After the buffs both raged quit. It was a beautiful thing...

Disagree champ. Need a building aspect for USL and a ultimate for each class. Build can be used to get on top of rocks to break camps or cross the great lakes of USL. Med ultimate can be a revive so SV can apply his other game knowledge to USL.

Should just make an SK map where you spawn with nothing but a knife and find weapons and armor around the map, last person alive wins. Or make it team based since it's likely people would just team up anyways if it was solo KotH
