I always remember squad players being able to play on alternate aliases if they wanted but just not get their stats recorded.

It was always discouraged for reasons you mentioned Emp, but a ref could always *find the site alias and if it matched the player the captain asked to be in they were allowed.

The alias used for the scheduled game must match the squadjoined alias on the website to count as an elligible squad member. If the alias does not match, the player falls under the NT rules. However, intentionally having a squadjoined player on another alias to enable the use of a different NT player violates rule 3.7.

I can’t force a player to go on any specific alias. If they themselves don’t want to play they only have to change aliases now with this rule “clarification.” They are not being forced offline.

Instead of tryimg to be clever and sneaky, maybe you should try just using squadjoined and elligible players. You were asking for a roster cap of 18 because of your supposed problem of too many active members. So arguing to be allowed to use NTs so vehemently just validates Emperors ruling

I've made other players change aliases before. Can't speak to what every other ref has done.

Like I said, it's going to be a point of emphasis this season moving forward. Just wanted to warn everyone. If you have an issue with your on site alias or something, let the staff know before your match.

It's been in the rules in every Infantry League I've played in from IGBL, SL, BBXL, CTFPL, and even USL. This shouldn't be something new to anyone who has played before. My apologies to newer players who don't understand the reasoning behind this.

Jordan who knows; sometimes pinecone doesn’t want to play, sometimes they show up drunk , gamefreak had a broken finger other week, maybe sniper yelled at them before the match and they don’t want to unspec.

Hell last season we had Metal show to a mean girls match but refuse to play ,would rather us play a man down and stay in arena than let us use NTs

Again if they aren't reliable recruit someone else, still a few FA available. Or just have them get on the alias, if you can't force someone to be on the alias they are signed up with, they shouldn't be on your roster.

BTW, all cards on the table: ThatDude is the reason I am going to ask that Refs pay extra close attention to this moving forward.

2. He said he didn't have access to that alias
3. He said he didn't have access to his USL account (he literally used his USL account a week ago. How do you lose access within a week?)
4. He said he didn't have access to his e-mail

All of these combined raised a huge red flag for me. Maybe paranoia on my part. But it is what it is.

So moving forward, play on your aliases on the website. No exceptions. This is the warning. I know some refs have either been lax about it or simply missed it in the past (myself included).
