I think this option should be explored for weaker teams and teams who cannot show enough. I'm pretty sure there are squads that have active people but don't get much playing time. Maybe there should be a maximum amount of games played like 5, as a starter, must register before league begins which means you will be eligible to double squad, etc.. Just to help even out play and give lesser squads a chance. Also, so squads don't need to disband mid season or in the playoffs. Maybe every team would be allowed between 1-5 eligible double squadders to ensure that teams stay full and active. It's just a thought, tell me how you really feel lolololol.

I bet those who would have a gripe with this probably find themselves on pretty stacked and active squads. I'm sure those struggling to keep players wouldn't mind this idea. In no way do I think just picking up players without limit is acceptable but I do think if monitored and rules put in place to penalize those trying to misuse this option then it could be helpful.. like game suspensions.. Etc. Time to start evolving rules and testing the waters on ways to stop squads from dissolving and no showing, especially in the playoffs.

Main points

-late season help for those struggling to show for matches
-free agent/double squadder pool
-those starting every game cannot be eligible to enter double squadder pool
-all main aliases must be made known
-maximum number of games to help squads in need could be like 5(including playoffs) if you go over the maximum you will automatically join that squad needing help
-anybody not registered and tries to double squad will be penalized
-this could help those already on stacked teams who don't see much playing time

you're talking as if usl has a serious problem of squads not showing up. In three seasons, only one squad has no-showed and that was statutory apes this season

So that means i could win a ring no matter what by joining the top tier squads. Awesome idea!

Lol @ Mizzouse.. Well the plan could be to make it extremely hard for anybody to do that Mizz.. I mean administration could easily make a rule that says no eligible double squadder can play in champ match. And Vince i'm pretty sure there have been other season's that at least one squad has had troubles showing all players throughout the season.. Thus, the double squadder pool would kick in. Like I stated before most top tier team's don't struggle showing players.. It's normally new squad's and beginner level squad's as well because they lack the players and honestly if you losing every game ugh it can get rough.

Side note: how about USL fantasy drafting by selected captains? I know this has been tried before?!?!?

Well Mecca USL could benefit more from a draft because it can even out talent and help others to win rings.. Also, none of these ideas are set in stone but clearly up for discussion and debate for future season's. Got to start somewhere.

I agree with you Mecca because I only like playing with people that are cool too.. can't tolerate others but I think these ideas could generate a higher level of competition. How elite would it be for a real captain to lead their newly drafted team to a ring. I mean, let's see who really is the "best" leader and can turn noobs along with seasoned vets into winners. Would be cool to possibly see some new faces and old vets in the midst of the new challenges.

Again, it looks like most people who challenge these ideas are the very skilled and seasoned vets but what about the others who play this league as well?

Also, it's season 3 going on how many including MSL (Sony) and USL (Sony/FI)? That's a large number of seasons with the same recurrence.
