My Dad had prostate cancer and he beat the thing just by eating a specialized diet so I see no reason to believe this won't all work out in the end for you and your fam. (Some people may say throat cancer is more serious than prostate cancer but no, it's all cancer.)

My dad got lucky. The growth was on his vocal cord so it was messing up his voice. After his voice was fucked up for a week they sent him to get checked. It was stage 1 Super early catch. The location of it is 90% 5 year survival rate. High chance of it going away with just radiation. He is a strong guy and does physical labor for a living so his doctors said he should have the strength to deal with everything very well. Today he had a bad day but he was still ok. Like he says " A lot of people get a death sentence and I was lucky they caught it when they did" I just have been helping him out as much as I can. I am glad your dad beat it!
