Proposed Draft League w/ "3" captains before as to eliminate a lot of the "don't get to play with who I want to" argument.

Ie:
Team 1: Staley / Tactical / Apollo
Team 2: tg / Fax / Fausto
Team 3: Champ / Sov / Yosh
Team 4: Dave / Sol / Leak
Team 5: Kippa / Easoe / Ninja
Team 6: em4 / manu / ER

and then draft as a team.
You'd still get more balance and play with at least a few people you're looking for.
I don't recall it receiving favorable reception though because draft league is bad or something.

I think I said it before last season, but I'll say it again - the Salary didn't really change much. I won't say it's a complete failure as there is a slight improvement, but I don't think it achieved the goal of balanced teams by any means. Other than a Glitter upset of Pussy Grabbers, about everything else is pretty on par with what's to be expected.

(but 4 real, you could also use the salary to determine draft order. lowest combined total 1st pick, highest combined total last pick, etc)

I don't see any reason to completely abandon the salary system. All it does is prevent extreme stacking, which is fine.

I suppose the preset 3-man core idea has the potential to make every team reasonably competitive... so if people agree to that, then it should be fine to also have the salary and normal recruitment to round out the rosters. A draft would almost certainly result in imbalanced teams and less people showing to matches.

Personally... I'd suggest:

-No draft
-Slightly lower salary cap
-3-Man core maybe
-No sniper

Also, why am I being paired up with bad players like Dave/Leak while Yosh gets Champ/Sov? Scammed.

If I knew I would miss the draft as one of three captains I wouldn't wanna participate. Maybe I'm selfish but just how I feel. I'd rather keep salary than draft even if I could make the draft.

People want control of what team they are on. Noone wants to log on and see they are assigned to some team they had nothing to do with. No thanks, this has been attempted many times before.

What makes you think people will log in for a draft team NOW? when noone did when the game actually had population?

Also I agree with sol lower the cap a bit. Even though I personally like the idea of a draft league(seeing as yall let me draft that line up in SL) not everyone would be on board with it and no point in forcing it on the players.

Solution: Lower the cap by 100, Minimum roster to join the league still 12. Give LMG a law(droppable not usable or maybe they can law thoughts?) off the start.

Classes: Add Assault trooper to spice things up a bit. Im not in for elites though.

Give sapper the ability to hyper speed or w/e its called to close gaps(might make people opt to play it a bit more)

Grenadier: Definitely like the idea of giving them DE, but make the 40s a bit more visible and possibly slightly longer range

Sniper(if its added): 50hp shots I think 60(proposed by yosh) is too much in an open usl map.


All the people protesting proposed ideas without having any solutions or proposals of their own need some real life experience. Nothing happens if you bitch about something without proposing any solution to the problem, any boss or leader will just look at you like a whiny bitch.

Let's add some mortars aswell and we can finally kill the game like we killed skirmish league !

- Draft league is a good idea in practice but it will not work with our players.
- Salary is fine if we can find a good salary cap to stick to.
- No more long seasons. More turn around with short seasons keeps activity fresh.
- Don't make any drastic class changes. Start small and work from there.
- Remove dave from admin.
