It is indeed ernie but current servicemen or "vets" still celebrate the memory of their fallen comrades, or patients we may have befriended that didn't make it.
Some people dont do well on memorial day because they have lost so many friends/comrades so it doesnt hurt to check up and ask if they had a decent weekend.
Cant tell you how many patients i've had due to depression or suicidal ideation in the last 4 years around this time.
so not rip me, checkin up on my actual servicemen that I dont have befriended on FB.
