Statistically gays are more likely to get and spread STDs. Testing doesn't really mean anything as HIV doesn't show up immediately in tests. At the end of the day, she wasn't comfortable with it and should feel safe to say no for whatever reason.

Her not wanting to have sex with a gay man had nothing to do with being homophobic lol she felt she would be putting her body more at risk if she did that - period. It's completely asinine to label someone homophobic over a choice they make with who they have sex with.

Porn or not that is still valid considering an HIV can take up to 4 weeks to show up on a test.

State LAW is what regulates the porn industry, so they can't perform til they have the results from the HIV test. What would be the point of testing if it wasn't like that?

We can go back and forth about statistics and laws all day but it all comes down to it being her choice to not want to have sex with a gay man. She had every right to make that decision. She wasn't coming at it from a viewpoint of, "I don't agree with that lifestyle." She was concerned with putting herself at risk and whether or not you agree with that, it was still her right to make that decision.

You're being naive if you think state law can protect people from HIV. They had mandatory tests every 30 days for HIV, but if you go fuck someone HIV positive or share needles or whatever and contract it and go take a test the next day, it's going to come up negative. People in the industry still get tested positive for HIV, although it has gone down significantly.

Porn performers put themselves at risk, and that is why the state of California wants condoms to be mandatory (it was at one point but not enforced). With that risk and statistics of gay/bisexual being greater risk of contracting it an STD I think it's pretty fair for refusing to fuck someone who does gay porn.

I didn't say she shouldn't concern herself, but clearly as a porn star you don't care that much about stds.. because as you said the tests can be late for HIV and any STD.

And if you actually go to her twitter, her original post says she doesn't want to work with someone who has done gay porn and ended it with "I do homework for my body" meaning, she doesn't want to add extra risk with someone that fucks around on gay porn, because ultimately that is what it is. Then repeatedly says in almost every post after that she isn't homophobic.
