USL turns up the heat with Lava Station; chosen by home squad, Out of Nowhere (OON).
Apocalypse (Apoc) begins by heading through the south corridor at H6. Like in week 1, squad captain Apollo is in spec where he’ll remain all game.
OON also begin by taking the southern most route. They to hold at the D5 rock formations.
Less than a minute into the match and we’ve got action. Apoc initiates the first push from the D6 building and and up above at the E6 bridge.
Falling back from D6, Apoc flankers noskeeper, Jordan and Stavudine take the northern route to create an angle for a downward push.
First blood honors go to Sniper at the expense of Mizzouse.
With the help of straggler GUERILLA, the flank is able to drive south and sandwich OON in the D5 rock formations where they began the match.
While OON regroups from the first battle Apoc members Mizzouse, Tactical, Lana Del Rey and Jordan wait at D4.
4:21 - Déjà vu strikes again after Jordan turns Sniper and Hannah into cherry pie with a double LAW kill.
The red mist clears and Apoc reforms at D5 rock formation, whereas OON try a new approach and group north at the D3 circular reactors.
While grouped, someone on OON used their shotgun and more than likely gave away their position because they broke off from there. Unfortunately for them, Apoc were coming north from D5 and west from E3. OON were once again caught in a pickle.
Apoc left nothing, but bullet casings as they headed south through F4 back to E6.
Thus far in the match, D5 has been a consistent hotbed of activity. With Apoc coming acround from E6, OON is waiting for them. They walk through Emp (CTFPL legend) as if he were paper mache then engage with Driven who is left by teammates Bias and chica.
Battles wages at C4 in front of OON trenches.
8 minutes into the game and Sniper is spec’d by ref Infinite for a rule violation. Although he ignored other members of OON for shooting behind the rape lines, he chose to spec Sniper because he was sniping. Sniper no sniping.
Sniper is put back in game less than a minute later.
C4 is cleared and perhaps as a show of mercy, Apoc treat back to the center of the map.
OON regroup and head toward the southern most exit of the base at B5. Upon reaching the exit they’re met with a few bullets from the enemy, which is enough to redirect them back into their base. They decide on the north exit that spits them out at D3.

Apoc up 33-14
Like earlier in the match while OON were at D3, Apoc once again comes from D5 and E3. Rather than push, OON holds their ground. After more violence and bloodshed, Apoc walks away with another battle won.
Regrouping once again, OON take the southern base exit, which they had originally planned to do just minutes ago. Hiding in a corner at the E6 building, they’re spotting by Apoc rather quickly. With a small flurry of gunfire and grenades OON push out and for the first time in the match we have action on Apoc’s side of the map.

Apoc flankers Shasta, Mizzouse, Stavudine and GUERILLA pop out from behind them at D5 and push through the E6 building. Hannah is the last of OON to survive the onslaught.
Assembled once again, OON divide into two groups at the trenches, one heading north, and the other south. Before they could set up an angle, surprise Apoc is waiting for the southern group at D5.
15:58 – Mizzouse LAW snipes Metal
At this point OON seems to be engaging with Apoc haphazardly; re-spawning and running right out of the base and into battle.
13:04 – LDR subbed out for Torch
19:58 – Tactical laws snipes Metal from across the lava pit.
A blur of Apoc battles victories follow
20 minute score check – Apoc up 79-25
9:58 – noskeeper is subbed out and 20 seconds go by before Universal Soldier 2k is subbed in. OON is unable to take advantage of this.
At this point in the match Apoc are running with only one medic.

At this point of the match with two and a half minutes left, its turned into a game of virtual Whack-a-mole. OON sticks their heads out from the rape lines and Apoc whacks em’ back in.
One last skirmish outside OON base gives kills to both squads. Final death honors go to Jordan.
Apoc is victorious, final score 118-34

Abbath – What are your thoughts on tonight’s match? Did you know going into it that using Lava Station was going to bring problems? Does it frustrate you knowing that you have to replay them?
Apollo – Yeah, I knew it wasn’t one of the decided maps. I told that to the referee who then proceeded to argue with me. Right from the start I appealed knowing it was going to be a rematch anyways.
After we beat them by 100 kills or whatever, sure enough I was right and a rematch is to be played. Nobody on my squad wants to play in a match and I feel it’s a big waste of time for everyone because the referee chose not to listen to me, an advisor.
Abbath - What was his [Infinite] reasoning for using the map? Although none of your guys want to play the rematch will you go through with it? If you don’t it’ll no doubt result in a forfeit.
Apollo – Yeah we w ill play it. Infinite made a huge error after repeated attempts to correct him. He was at fault, but unfortunately he is one of the few refs able to donate time every week. It’s frustrating, but hopefully it doesn’t happen again. We’ll play it next Sunday and hopefully I can show enough.

Abbath - Why the decision to use Lava Station? Was this a strategic move, if so, what did you expect would happen? What are your thoughts on the rematch?
Bias – Lava Station was chosen for something new/fun/different.
Strategic because the map is smaller. Closer combat, closer to each other. We aren’t the best at distanced combat/holding.
Rematch, I don’t care for one. If it happens, it happens. On to the next week!!

Abbath – Were you aware of the bugs with lava Station when it was chosen by OON? Who specifically wanted to play on the map?
Repeated attemps were made by Apollo to have the match switched to a different map. Why did you decide to move forward with Lava Station?
