Wahduhek v BBB
This match WILL NOT change 1st or 4th in the playoffs. But whichever team wins will end up 2nd. IDC vs apoc is locked, assuming apoc slaughters allegiance as planned. This does not mean these tryhards won't camp the entire game. Momentum is big in this game, and whoever wins this matchup has the upperhand for the rematch next week in the first round.
Wahduhek:
Lead by Sov who doesn't join squad so he can preserve his stats, they've been way overperforming this year, they're frustrating their opponents by slowing the pace to a grinding hault until they can build a healthy lead and push. Holding positions to keep their underwelming marines hidden is the right call here. It's nice to see 4 decent squads who all have a shot at the champ. Sol will play a big role on this squad if he has the cajones to show in the playoffs.
Predicted Lineup:
Sov (Ma)
Sol (Ma)
albert (Ma)
killer (Ma)
Kevin (Ma)
Palm (Ma)
Jane (Me)
Iron (Me)
Overall Grade: B-
If not for sol/sov this would be another 5th place finish for kevin's krew, possibly 4th over allegiance. But sov's leadership really boosts this squad. Sol and Iron should not be forgotten for this rise to power either, being top 10 in each of their respected positions.
The marines after sol and sov start to get suspect, Kevin is good if they're in the lead and he's aorund sov, can get a little complacent when he's off doing his own stuff. Killer is the most inconsistent player in Infantry history, albert can law snipe and that'd about it. Palm is pretty awful, please don't let him get a ring. Jane is a very servicable medic that probalby won't miss too many heals or lose you too many battles.
BBB:
Rumor is Sov's squad didnt' sb 5 days a week so he disbanded his squad, out came Tank's rise in the rankings and a majority of the starters for BBB. Typhons coupe of power from BB was probably much needed, because it solidifies a player on the field. I don't know too much about this squad, but I assume the leading is very similar to apoc as in Eric sets everyone up and Yosh manages, then add in a bunch of shot callers and you have high quality leadership.
Predicted Lineup:
God (Ma)
Zeus (Ma)
Manifest Destiny (LMG)
Mountain (Ma)
Typhoon (Ma)
hack (ma)
Water (Me)
Envy (Me)
Overall Grade: B
An eclectic mix of talent in the marine and medic deparment makes this squad sneaky good. They play a very slow style and love to camp. Eric humblebrags the line "break my camp" very frequently. This squad could go on the aggressive far more than they do, and I feel like the molasses pace will hurt them in the long run. After easoe, most of the marines are above-average but not elite. Eric is good 80% of the time, Yosh is very smart and opportunistic on LMG, Jared is deadly when they're camping and the other squad has to push them, Mountain is decent when they're in the lead, Typhoon I haven't seen play, Water was a great mid-season pickup and is a HUGE upgrade over Cesar, and envy is envy.
Predicted Outcome:
I see this match being VERY slow paced, I don't think either leader will want to budge from their positions. Especially considering this is just the first of 2 matches between these squads in as many weeks.
Wahduhek over BBB: 29-17
