The true Match of the Week!

Breakdown

What's that? Ya'll don't think this merits Match of the Week status. Both of these squads honestly have the potential to break into the playoffs if Snakes or No Stones slips up. However, the loser of this match has their playoff chances drop significantly. So expect both squads to be in #TryHard mode.
As for the actual match itself and how it will look:
Mean Girls has Home field advantage. They played pretty well all things considered against Fwaming Dwagons. They listened; they worked as a group, and they held their chokes. Mean Girls has definitely been improving. Will it be enough though? I expect Mean Girls to play differently here in Week 2. They're more comfortable on Elsdragon Compound, and they shouldn't be as intimidated by send noobs as they were against Fwaming Dwagons. But ultimately it depends on who shows up for Mean Girls. Speaking of which:
Hiro
Adje
Touk
Riley (Medic)
chica (Medic)
Metal
mad?
Octavian
If MG can get some combination of the above players with maybe only one or two differences, they are actually quite the opponent and no slouch and might have the advantage this weekend.
Hiro, Adje, and mad? are quite capable Marines who can hold their own with some of the best. They aren't game changing players, but they have excellent aim and dodge ability. They know when to focus fire and when to fall back. Octavian is kind of a wildcard for Mean Girls. He's actually quite the capable Marine. But I think he has ADD or something because he will do stupid shit (see Forum Mafia). Touk & Metal are both long time CTF'ers whose skill set translate well to Skirmish.
One thing that has maybe been holding MG back from really progressing is the lack of a 2nd Medic so far this season. But Riley has been determined to step into that role for Mean Girls, and you can start to see the cohesion come together. You know what you're getting with chica, a solid medic... unless she's playing Mizz's squad, which is when she will suicide trying to knife him or Tactical... but it's always fun to hear her go "fuck shit damnit! at least I got Mizz!" on Mumble.
On the flip side:
Ice
Cage
Babble (Medic)
Furcifer
Gambler
juetnihilia
Lunar Tick
Ted Bundy (Medic)
send noobs is coming off of a dominating performance of One Kiss At The Redlight. This squad has a lot of capable players starting with their captain Cage. MG has been SB'ing them a lot the last few weeks, and you can see a huge difference when SN has Cage in there. Obviously having some of their other solid players like Ice & Gambler helps a lot too.
send noobs is more solidified at the Medic position in my opinion with Babble & Abbath both having played Medic pretty regularly the last few months.
I think they have their own wild cards in the form of juetnihilia, Furcifer, and Lunar Tick. They will need these three players to step up and play to their full potential if they want to beat Mean Girls. I haven't seen the 8 I've listed SB all together before. But I think it is one of their better lineups potential wise, and if those 8 all show, they will be a hard beat for most squads.
So as I said before, ultimately it will come down to who shows up for both squads. If Mean Girls gets the players they need to show up to actually show up, I think I will give them the slight edge. They have Home field advantage. So they'll get the side of EC that they prefer. If one of these squads has poor attendance, then just ignore this Preview. This match won't be that close. But I'm expecting both squads to show up and to play to win. Because like I said, the winner of this match just needs to then upset Snakes or No Stones and then they might steal the 4th playoff spot. Some of you reading this will probably think that's impossible, but I wouldn't jump to that conclusion so fast.
A lot on the line here in Week 2!
Prediction: 51-45 (Mean Girls)
