The schedule has been out since prior to season start and the expected bye weeks due to holidays were already factored in. It would've behooved the captains to take initiative if they thought showing last night was going to be an issue to have brought it up then instead of waiting a day or two before or last minute to make their claim.

Doesn't bother me that they were delayed but next time if a lot of people are going to take issue with a given scheduled day, do something ahead of time and not stay silent until close to match time then bombard chris with "OMG WHY ARE WE PLAYING?!?"

Well, apparently the players who think the weekend between Christmas and New Year's is a holiday didn't communicate with the players who don't think the weekend is still a holiday/vacation.

MG players never indicated they weren't going to show last night. But I had a feeling because of the Holidays and no one logging on all week this was bound to happen.

Meh.

So the lack of communication amongst inner squad workings and failure to communicate with the headstaff until 2 days prior automatically turns into complaining about said headstaff scheduling the matches for last night when its been out since before the season starts. The logic....

Well to be fair, a lot of players voiced their concerns that they felt there should have been matches on thanksgiving. Either way, I don't think very many people treat this as a 'professional' league, rather "this is the match time, I hope I can get people on for it". Unfortunately last night a good chunk of us were not able to be on for whatever reason. It's really shitty for everyone that did show up and want to play, but at the end of the day, multiple FF's and everyone scrambling to use 2-3+ nt's isn't a good thing.

It's just a game ultimately.

Need to be flexible.

Treat it as if the server was having problems.

I'll be honest I told chris on discord while we were waiting on manu, "for now take the forfeit, keep the other matches as scheduled if another team forfeits postpone the week"
